I've asked three different times for help with the iOS app, which does not work on either my iPhone nor my iPad, with no answer after waiting 5 days! I'm canceling my service and asking for a refund.
i have given PIA three stars for the following reason: (1) I have been trying to receive support from PIA's 24/7 support team for 3 days now without success. Even though I was able to setup my VPN service on my Tomato router, I still am unable to browse successfully. (2) I have submitted other requests to getting the technical support I need to fully utilize my services without success. I know that I may be one of few people going through this struggle, but in an email I sent 2 weeks ago (before purchasing my subscription) I did get a response, but it took 7 days for a response. If they tried to respond to their Helpdesk requests, I would have given them a 5 star rating. Maybe things will improve if they see more comments like this or I become a independent PIA remote agent using TeamViewer to help poor souls like myself. I know I will get the support i need, but just do not know when.
My experience was horrible. I have sent a bunch of emails to their "New User Express Support" asking some questions about configuration and even attached instructions incl screen shots for configuring it with the latest ASUSWRT (their instructions were out of date) Despite my sending several emails over the first few days, I did not receive even one returned response other than their auto response they have received my email and assigned reference numbers. So I cancelled on the last day new sign up allows one to cancel I didn't even discuss with them the poor performance of their servers (performance obtained both with and without PIA connected (to obtain performance baselines) and the performance of connecting to non-PIA server both with and without PIA connected (for baselines). Has I gotten this far with any tech support, I would have asked if there is something wrong with my configuration. Not ONE non-automated response was provided. BAD is my rating, let us see if they publish it. I doubt it. After many email exchanges with their accounting department, sending them multiple copies of screen prints documenting when I signed up for their service, their accounting department "finally" acknowledged that I had cancelled prior to the 7 day money back guarantee period and stated they would provide a refund. I have not yet received it. It was encouraging that though tech support never responded, they did, though the first several communications were to tell me that I would not be getting a refund.

So I asked for my money back after the first day. No big deal, I just dont want a service in a 14 eyes country. No response.... I have sent three responses after 4 days, and no response from a human. What I HAVE gotten is half a dozen automated messages asking me how their service was, I three times got an automated message asking if I was satisfied with my support ticket.... MY SUPPORT TICKET WAS NEVER ADDRESSED! Let me talk to a person before you send me a bot asking me if I was satisfied when I talked to the person I didnt talk to.
Connect to servers or told I have connected. Internet speed then slows to a point I just disconnect. Some programs timeout. Even Outlook took a long time and kept asking for password for email account. I disconnected and all worked fine. Want my money back.
As others have noted there is no support, and even asking for money back, as per the guarantee, has no result so far. I will update if that changes.
