The connection is sometimes slow, and there are issues viewing Netflix with this VPN host.
I have had no problems while using the service. I use their forums to stay up to date on any major changes or security matters.
With the latest iOS app it's the best VPN on the market!
PIA offers cheap VPN services, but most of their servers are blacklisted by cloud flare, causing annoying "click to confirm you're not a robot"-pages to pop up on every other website. The speeds are also varying and the VPN client does not upgrade itself, nor does it tell you when it is no longer the most recent version, causing most to postpone updating (because they don't know an update is available) until the client stops working (has happened more than once to me). They have great support tough, always available and fixes smaller issues in minutes, larger issues in days, so that is the only reason I still use them, that and the price.
I've been using PIA for about 2 years and I've never had any problems or any reason to contact customer support.
Its simple to set up and fantastic. Sucks that netflix is finally cracking down on it though.
Overall I really cannot fault them. There are occasional niggles and gripes but nothing that detracts from the service overall. My Windows 7 box sometimes refuses to connect to any gateway and you need to delete the interface and reinstall it and PIA Manager. I use Plex Home Theater and currently the login still will not work from my HTPC running both Plex and PIA, regardless of proxy ports selected. But both of these things are minor inconveniences compared to the huge benefits of having it.
I have been using PIA for 3 years now. I use it to protect the data going into and out of my server and I have never had an issue with downtime, data quality or transfer speeds. I've recommended it to a few of my friends and family and they have also been incredibly happy with the service.
Overall works well. However it is often VERY slow and it frequently disconnects. And, the end-point IPs have been SERIOUSLY compromised due to "bad actor" customers. And, PIA seems not to ever change them. So, ISPs often block the end-point IPs and add other security measures, e.g., captchas.
I have tried other services and PIA has won me over for many years in a row. I am not shy about switching providers if necessary but PIA has made VPN so convenient and secure, I will be with them for the foreseeable future. No logs, No Hassle, No BS.
