I like the application - BUT - find it very difficult to encourage others to use it... I have managed to get my family to use it - we are spread all over the world - but I do not seem to be able to encourage others to use, what I believe to be, a very useful technology... Any ideas on how to accelerate 'uptake'? Kind regards - Alex

The connection will sometimes drop on its own or not start when I power up even though I have it set to auto connect at Logon. Used the support chat to troubleshoot but it hasn't solved the issue. Chat was easy to use, however and the techs are helpful and will go at my speed. Its probably something wrong in my system (Win 7) but I'm not geeky enough to diagnose and repair. The speeds are OK - some sites better than others and the days of the week or times of day can affect it as well. We'll see how things go when I get up the courage to upgrade to Win 10.

I've been a Private Internet Access customer for two years. For security, anonymity, support and ease-of-use, PIA has been great and I've turned friends onto their service. However, their recent change of stance on circumventing geoblocking for sites like Netflix and the BBC iPlayer has left them with a black eye. My main use of PIA was not for bypassing geoblocking, but I absolutely did use it that way somewhat regularly and I'm less than thrilled with their new policy. My yearly subscription is up this month and I'll consider competing services. Before this change I would have easily rated PIA 5 stars. Now, I would have gone 3 1/2 if that were an option. I rounded up because I'm still very pleased with the service overall.

I have tried other VPN services and had slow speeds and service disconnections. PIA has given me great connection speed, great customer service and the ability to select the city that gives the best speed for my location. This is my second year of service and I will not change!

I chose PIA while travelling after reading reviews of other VPN providers for the fact that they don't shape bandwidth, keep logs, or sell your information for profit. I'm using a Macbook and I have to say that the software is lacking. It looks like it is written with a cross platform toolkit, so it never really "feels" like a native application and has a really clunky an unintuitive user interface. I've also had it disconnect multiple times in a row as well as get into a state where the icon shows that it's disconnected, but clicking the icon seems to indicate that it is in fact connected. The settings screen is really unintuitive and has no way to exit out without saving changes. The application is not available on the App Store and doesn't have any kind of built-in update feature so when new updates to the app are available you have to manually check your version, uninstall the old version, download the new version and replace it.

I have had absolutely no issues with the service or the company. In fact, they have made setting up, using, and updating the service virtually foolproof and knowing such a company makes things this easy is a breath of fresh air!!!
