I've used PIA for 2 years now, and it's been great! No noticeable drop in internet speed. It just works. Worth the money. Easy installation even for those who aren't good with technology.
I was told by Amazon that my subscription was canceled by me! I had not canceled but I had to find a way to get back my private internet access. I had the service for two years and it automatically recharged my credit card and worked so I was wondering why I was told I canceled. Anyway I could not reactivate my account and just started a new account and it was so easy to get it up and running. I did write to the help desk under billing and they did respond quickly. The program was much easier to install than two years ago. Also works on my iPad now where before it would not.
Recently signed up. Liking the privacy. Not much of a speed hit. No complaints.
I'm very happy with PIA - it works great for me. Very consistent. Don't really notice any speed issues. Switching countries is super easy. Even have it on my phone (although I don't really use it a lot there). Never had any need to use their customer service so can't comment on that.
So far so good. I did have installation problems but an email to support got it fixed in their reply. Very little notice in speed drop amd works as far as I know. Recommended for the new user.
I have not been able to get this program to work on my computer and have logged a request for help from the company. I got an initial reply asking me questions about my system which I did my best to answer. Since then there has been NO response to my requests for help. [#PYY-680-70795]: New installation Maybe this will get the help desk moving, otherwise my only option is to cancel and move on.
I am not a computer geek by any means so a VPN was new to me and a minimal type one scared me a little. This was easy to set up especially on my Android phones. All is working fine. I have it on 3 computers and 2 Android phones. It does slow thing down just a tiny bit but not even a enough to be a concern. It is easy to turn off if need be and just as easy to turn on and pick a location to transmit from. Feel much better about being on the internet now.
As soon as I completed my installation and installed the app's to my devices, I know that I was in good-hands with PIA. My friends were correct, suggesting I use this service. It sure does feel good to know that I have the privacy I am looking for. The support is excellent, whenever I have a question or issue, I a response or result in no time at all. I thing that really stands out for me is the speed and reliability, which is exceptionable. I really don't see much of a difference without the service on, it sure is FAST!!! Thank you, of course for making everything ENCRYPTED!!!! Which gives peace of mind and security......
I usually hit my ISP bandwidth cap while using this VPN, at 50/5 Mbps. It also almost never has connection issues. There are a few internet services that do not like VPN's in general (a growing number actually), but that is not the fault of PIA. Very rarely I will have to reset the connection because of some issues it is having though. And $40/year is enough to forget about compared to my darn internet bill.
