I bought a one year subscription and proceeded to download the app for Android. When I tried to use the app it wouldn't even try to connect. I do have a rooted phone which I am sure a lot of Private Internet Access users have but when I tried to contact support I was basically told they wouldn't assist because my phone was rooted. A little effort would have been appreciated but I guess they don't feel that is necessary. I guess they don't care about that much about their customers.
I have only been using this for a few days now but when I had an issue yesterday, the customer service was great. My issue was resolved in a very timely manner. No complaints at all so far. Very happy!

support blames the customer, asked support to provide for my country a range of valid ip addresses as advertised, instead of the existing advertised twenty-six invalid ip addresses all located outside of my country, Private Internet Access support staff need to apply to methodology of "How to Win Friends & Influence People"
Not only does it allow for super safe browsing... It completely eradicates torrent tunneling and the only throttle is me, when I have to use bandwidth on other things. Class act!
Good value for money. I haven't had much experience with VPN services, but the speed is very good. Even when watching HD videos from abroad. Small downside is that sometimes I get blocked by websites who use CloudFlare as a proxy due to alleged spammyness of the IP.
After reading up on various VPN options, I found the no-frills, low cost approach of Private Internet Access to be the right one for me. I decided to not install their client, and instead followed their instructions for using OpenVPN. This turned out to be really straight forward. I'm very pleased so far.
If you value your online security and privacy, you'll use a VPN; if you want a VPN that equally values your online security and privacy, then you'll use PIA. Also: I'm incredibly pleased with PIA's android app, I regret not getting it sooner.
