If there's a better VPN service available out there it matters little to me. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to believe it! PIA has provided me an affordable, reliable, and consistently fail proof medium enabling access to my favorite internet sites while securing my right to privacy and also providing protection from the inherent pitfalls associated with that formidable task. Following a year's subscription of flawless performance, the decision to continue my loyalty and belief in this VPN application came without so much as a second thought. I'm looking forward to continuing that partnership again this year and for many more years to follow.

Had some issues, but Private Internet Access's customer support came through to address all of my issues. First of all, before I encountered the issues, I received an email from Customer Support thanking me for my purchase and providing an invitation to contact them if there were any issues. After reporting the issues, within minutes, I received an email from Support which began an evening long string of suggested changes to resolve the issue. And in all cases, their suggestions fixed the various issues. I'm now issue free. These issues were encountered on my Mac. On my iPhone, my previous VPN provider's VPN would drop suddenly without any notification. Private Internet Access on the other hand is solid and even stays connected after my iPhone's display turns off. In fact, it seems to stay on constantly after I retire for the evening, still on in the morning when I start using my iPhone again. Love the product and the support!

With any VPN there will be a slow down compared to a direct unsecured line, especially depending on the server you choose. There's encryption and decryption happening end to end. I've had no issues with the software, everything installed correctly on all my devices. Hulu does block access from VPN's similar to Netflix, it's not a fault with the VPN but with those services. They do it because of content restrictions based on region. See the PCMag Best VPN 2017 article for more info. I chose PIA VPN because it didn't slow down internet speeds as bad, has a built in ad blocker/tracking, no log recording, and the price is great. $30/year for a secured connection.

Easy to install, works when run as an admin. Doesn't work in a virtual machine (running as a user - no other solutions seem to be able to do this right either though). Messes up a LOT of software so impossible to have it running all the time (but I run a lot of different software, much more than average Joe). Cloud services start to verify you are you, mails don't go out properly etc. You need far too much configuring to make this convenient. Easier to just connect only when you need this for something specific but that does defeat some of the purpose.

Excellent price compared to other companies. I was concerned with downloading laws in Australia but not any more and the one payment covers 5 devices. The only negative is my IOS mobiles seem to run a little slower when online but my Microsoft products run like a dream. Very happy thank you
