I've only had used pia for a few days and they offer a good number of locations to choose from. I'm in Toronto and there's a location here as well as Montreal and other u.s. east and mid to choose from! Speed seems to be quite good during non-peak hours. Price for features I think can't be found else where. That's the reason I chose pia. I haven't used other private vpns so I don't have experience to compare but I did my research before buying. Based on that I think they are good. I have tried torrents and works fine. Though it is slow at peak hours e.g. evenings.
Fonctionne parfaitement et n'affecte quasiment pas la vitesse de connexion.
Works exactly as advertised. Easy setup on multiple devices including Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android.
Highly recommended! Great service when you need it.
Great service. Just remember to make sure you use the right server for Geo locked content. BBC iPlayer-use a UK based access point etc. Easy to set up if you understand what you are installing.
Got the VPN to help hide my personal IP while simply browsing the internet, loving it so far! Only hiccup so far is that there can be latency issues with some servers geographically close that should have similar ping yet manage to either have enormously high ping or time out completely. This is not normal though, it has only happened 3 or 4 times in the time I've had the software, and solving it is easy enough (connect to another server or just don't use the VPN for 15-20 minutes while it sorts itself out). TLDR: Great product with very few minor issues!
Useless. Unable to access Netflix abroad. Brutal customer service. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
(was) nearly perfect! - SEE UPDATE OLD: easy to install, cross-compatible and speedy. support staff is responsive and helpful, too. one will need to temporarily turn off pia, in order to watch Netflix, but this is a small nuisance. if you use Gmail with an email client (e.g., Outlook 2016), contact pia for an outgoing mail server that may work. other than that, I haven't had any problems. I am new to pia, but really, so far, the experience has been great. UPDATE: Optimum Online may always reject emails sent using pia's vpn; you may be unable to search Office 2016 online templates unless you change udp to tcp, although periodically the box for online templates will still be greyed out; it is impossible to use ipv6, even if you wanted to; and it is impossible to use the Bank of America website with the pia vpn on, changing udp to tcp temporarily worked but eventually stopped working. I had to cancel the service and seek an alternative
I've never used a VPN before so approached this with a bit of trepidation. Totally unfounded ... other than a dumb but small mistake (totally on me) the installation on two iMacs and an iPad went way smoother and error-free than I could ever imagine. The only bump was having to figure out how to get Google mail to accept an SMTP connection from PIA's servers; that took about 15 minutes of googling for the answer and implementing, simply by switching to a different PIA server for our connection. Operationally we see little to no lessening in overall speed and nothing on either computer seems to be impacted (other than our newly found peace of mind). Totally recommended.
First VPN I've used. Researched many of them and this came highly reviewed. Installation was brainlessly simple. Connects, works, no change in speed. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
