It works well a lot of the time, but there are wifi hotspots that will not work with this VPN (or maybe none of them). I have also found that certain apps will not work well with VPN. But overall it is really good to have especially when traveling just to protect yourself
Seems to work great, very simple interface.
Horrible fuking service. I have been signed up for over 2 weeks now and haven't had any service from these people. I reached out to customer service ever single day and there is never a response. The only way to reach them is email. This is bullsh|t. They won't refund me and won't provide me a service. HORRIBLE! Do no use this service. It is a waste of your fuking money.
I subscribed for my laptop and phone. I couldnt (and still cant) connect service on my phone. I sent 3 emails for help with this issue in 3 days to customer services. Not one has been responded to. No other way to contact from UK. Awful 'customer service'
I found setting up and support very easy to do and find. Would recommend to anyone.
Signed up for a yearly subscription. Paid the fee through PayPal. Didn't receive a set up email. Contacted PIA immediately to advise that the set up email may have gone to the wrong address and could they please send another email to the correct email. Only received an automated response telling me they were looking into my enquiry? Sent three subsequent emails - only received further automated responses. So, if the customer service is so bad and so unresponsive on such a minor issue what's it going to be like if there's a serious problem! On that basis, I asked them to exercise their 7 day money back guarantee and cancel my subscription. No response. Then I received, yet another, automated email asking me to rate the service I'd received...so I did! The result: nothing, not a word, no response. So, I'm hoping that they read their trust pilot reviews and actually get around to contacting me. Think about this before you consider using PIA... customer service isn't about what they say they are going to do but actually about what they don't. Wouldn't recommend them solely on their lack of customer service .... don't know about the product as I never got to try it!
I signed up for one month to check what the service is like. I haven't been able to connect to a specific vpn. I sent 3 tickets for tech support with no answer. I received an automated email to ask me if everything is ok. I replied to it, I was having issues but still waiting to hear from them. Will look somewhere else.
Never worked, which wouldn't have been so bad if there was even the meagerest attempt at rectifying the situation. The prepayment of $6.95 for a one month subscription meant nothing. Being civil, multiple uses of the word, "please" during communication....nothing. Yes, they did initially ask me what was up, likely from some "bot" with the pretty name "Caitlin." However my four responses were met with nary a flicker from any Private Internet Access service representative. So I'm here in Germany attending my daughter's birthday party and I wanted to see the Kentucky Derby live telecast. Well that's apparently not going to happen unless it's somehow being telecast by some European broadcaster. Wish me luck folks! It would be a shame to miss the big race. As for the glowing PC Mag review of PIA? No longer will it be my "go to" journalistic source regarding the latest in technology.
So far so good :-) I was very impressed with how quickly i have got connected and also the ease use.
Hi All, I bought the 30 day service to test it out. It does effectively camouflage my IP address. As for speed, I have 125 MPS from my cable provider which I have tested and verified countless times. However, my MPS is substantially below that when I use the same test site with PIA active - about 50 MPS. If I use the PIA tester is says I have 100 MPS but that is likely not what you will see on an independent site. I'll probably sign up for a 1 year subscription but haven't fully decided.
