This VPN connects fine, speed is fine, plenty of servers to choose from. But the "Kill Switch" option does not work properly, it switches you back to your regular unprotected adapter in the case of VPN connection failure. The client freezes often and will leak your real IP when it does so. During the time I have used Private Internet Access I have received 3 DMCA notices from my ISP within 9 months. This is a very low quality VPN in terms of client reliability, especially if you need to use the Kill Switch option. Also the client would not launch at startup occasionally and the Kill Switch does not work if the client is not running. Not enough warnings that you are not protected when client fails to launch at startup or if client freezes and TAP driver fails. Plus: Keep in mind that this service is headquartered in the US, meaning they can seize logs at any time, so you take them at their word that they don't keep any. In my opinion, it is best to go with a non-5 eyes country VPN service. Rating: 2/5.
Inadequate product for streaming services and getting a refund after cancelling services is like getting a root canal. Process needs to be more streamlined and product needs to be compatible with any internet or streaming platform.
Rave reviews?? I have had nothing but negatives since second 1. The software did not install properly to windows 10. Then I tried to "Live Chat" as many competitors have. Guess what? No live chat for PIA. They decided "We better help our customers by having them submit a report". Guess what? I submitted 3. They DO NOT RESPOND! I am going back to Pure VPN, or anyone else for that matter!
Support is non-existent..sent at least 4 tickets to support no replys. trying to get my refund back without success..wont be re-newing again
I submitted a request for support at the website, as they require. I indicated that my IP address continues to show up, even though the icon shows the service is "active". No one followed up with me and instead, I received a generic email thanking me for my purchase and asking me to reply to the email if I had any questions or concerns. After I replied and stated that I still have not heard from anyone regarding my complaint, I got another generic email thanking me for my purchase. Obviously, this was a complete waste of money and I will be contacting my credit card company to reverse the charge, since I can't get anyone to respond to my complaint. ( interestingly, you cannot leave a review unless you allow cookies – seems that is antithetical to the philosophy behind this service)
It's a very good, and easy to use VPN. It restarts automatically on all my devices (Windows laptop, desktop, Apple iPhones, and iPads). No installation difficulties other than having to go back to the login page each time I wanted to install it on another device for my user ID and password, which are long and complex. It was reasonably priced, and I like that it automatically switches to routing traffic to servers with the least amount of use.
I bought this service earlier this week and have received ZERO support! It has yet to work after signing up and paying for a whole year. I have spent HOURS following trouble shooting directions and have submitted multiple tickets (including one that was supposed to be "priority service"). So far my experience with PIA has been terrible!!
Tia is great to use is quick to set up and it has a lot of countries that you can use to set up for your IP addresses. I also like the fact that you can use at least five devices with this app and is really worth the money..
After having used several other VPNs, IMO Private Internet Access is the fastest, most reliable, and most cost-effective service. It performs as advertised!
Once I gat it working on Fire stick (restart fire stick before installing PIA) it is excellent. Starts whenever I log into devices and keeps me safe.
