Refreshingly great experience with PIA. I don't want to speak ill of competition, but by contrast I am just coming off an experience of trying to be a customer of IPVanish. I signed up with them, and immediately found the servers in the areas I needed did not work at all, in fact the performance was approx. 10% what it should be. I reached out to support, and they ignored my issue, and gave me instruction in how VPN's work instead. I kept asking for 5 days about the same issue, and finally they asked for my diagnostic logs, that was the last I heard from their support team. I contacted them 3 more times, and they never replied, so I cancelled service with them. Now about the good. I installed PIA, it loaded right up, was simple to use, and I like the minimalist ui, everything you need is there, but no massive window. Most importantly, everything works, and works perfectly. I checked all the locations I needed to use, and then some other random ones, and everything works with no performance loss whatsoever. Of course, lastly, the cost doesn't hurt either. By far the cheapest option out there, and still the service works incredibly well. I also subscribed my parents and set it up on their systems in their house. See IPVanish? PIA knows that if you treat a customer well, you get more business, and from me they got a 2 for 1. I'm probably also going to get my sister subscribed as well. That's 3 new customers all by doing business the correct way. There is nothing bad I can say at all about Private Internet Access. It's affordable, it works fantastically well, and it is easy to install and use. I haven't had the need for customer support at all, but if it is anything like the other aspects, I'm sure PIA has great support as well.

The main reason i switched to PIA? it's because the cost was basically a steal. 7 Dollars a month? That's less than the cost of my breakfast in the morning.

95% du temps quand PIA est activé je ne peux me connecter à aucun site, j'ai tout essayé. Rien ne fonctionne. Je ne recommande pas du tout ce logiciel.

For me, setup on my iPhone with iOS 12 was problematic. After getting everything configured I would select a server to connect to and turn it on, and for a moment it would seem to be connected, but then all communication would just stop. It didn’t matter which server I chose, or if I let it choose. I was about to request a refund. As a last ditch effort, I had seen a reference to using the OpenVPN app to configure the VPN, so I downloaded that app as well. I downloaded a few profiles provided by PIA and configured them one by one from OpenVPN, which was tedious. But ultimately worth it, because now when I turn the VPN on with OpenVPN it works, no dropped connections. If I turn it on from PIA it still doesn’t work No issues from my MacBook Pro with Mojave; the problem has only been on the iPhone. The low rating is for the nearly impossible setup on the iPhone. I almost gave up on it. The service itself, once I got connected, has been great, everything i need from a VPN. It seems consistently faster than Disconnect.me which I had been using before. PIA is a great value compared to other providers. But it shouldn’t be such, well, a PIA to get working (yeah, sorry).

Doesn't work as it should on a Windows 8.1-enabled machine in Russia. Sometimes you are able to browse the web at a normal speed, but most of the time it won't let you open anything at all. Manually switching to a different server doesn't help. To be fair, this is a common problem with VPN services here. But think that VPN providers have to do a better job circumventing those ridiculous restrictions.

bought one month to try it out, and loved it so much i plan on buying a year subscription. i love that i can have 5 of my other devices logged in with my info, so everything in my house is secure. i also love that they have a provided proxy that support torrent usage, and has okay speeds! 10/10

PIA is working fantastic. I used HMA for 6 years and find Private Internet Access much more costum freindly, efficient in- and outside Europe for business and private. I recommend it for two friend. They were amaized and made a subscription the same day. Thank you. Lundedrengen DK

Easy to setup and operate; very stable application. Works great with Win 10 and IOS; wired or WiFi connections. Multiple geographical server options makes it convenient to use around the world. Their VPN works in locations where others are blocked or fail. Great tech and customer support; very responsive to questions I had about configuration and performance. Best value I have found for a VPN of this quality.
