On 18th March PIA asked me if I wanted to continue my subscription by another 3 years because prices were going up. I had another 8 months left on my current subscription so I decided to go ahead. When I actually went through the application process and paid via Paypal instead of adding 3 years on top of the 8 months I had it created another new PIA account which meant that I had 2 accounts running concurrently. That meant that the 8 months I had now would have been wasted. This should not have happened. I contacted customer support immediately and they took a day and a half to respond (Felixx W.) on the 19th of March. He apologised and asked me for my order number so that he could merge the two accounts to which I immediately responded. Despite sending him emails to ask him what is going on he still hasn't responded to me and it is now the 21st of March. Why can't a simple thing like this be resolved. It shouldn't even have to be resolved in the first place as this should never have happened from the time I applied to add on another 3 years. What a mistake. The best part is that I've been a PIA subscriber for many years and the service has gone down the drain. What happened to the Online Chat with PIA? That should not have been taken away. Giving the excuse that they provide better service via a ticket doesn't seem to have happened. Two days to respond to a ticket with no reply. The gall of this is when this still isn't resolved PIA has the audacity to ask me for my rating of their service in advance. Shown below is the email sent to me by Felixx W before he stopped responding to me. This was my only recourse to getting PIA's attention as nobody responded to me for many days. There was also no ticket number given just an email from Felixx W. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Terence, Thank you for contacting PIA customer support. I will be happy to assist you with your account today. I have closed your other open ticket and merged it to this one. If you have any replies please ensure they are made into this email, for opening additional tickets will slow down our response time to you due to each new ticket being placed at the bottom of the queue. Thank you. I do apologize for the delay in responding, we are currently experiencing a higher than normal ticket volume. Unfortunately PayPal has made a change to their payment method since you have joined. They now use what is called "Braintree". So because they prefer to have everyone move to this method, it is not possible to make any upgrades to subscriptions using the older method. With that being said, I will be happy to merge the time left on your yearly account to your new three year account. I have taken the liberty of sending you a copy of your most recent receipt to the email address associated with both of your PIA accounts. In this email contains a 7 or 8 digit order number. Please relay it to me and I will proceed with the merge. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused and appreciate your patience. I look forward to hearing from you. I am extremely disappointed as a long time PIA customer. Anyway in reply to you Trustpilot does not allow me to include my email address used in my post and no Ticket ID was given to me. The only ones that may be the ones I logged are : DG4-201903-00019 and DH3-201903-00039. In Felixx W's reply to me I don't know which support ticket he merged with which. Your support system is so confusing and ineffective. Anyway I replied to Felixx's email with my order number which he requested which I will not publish here. If you guys were so efficient why do you guys have to ask for my order number which further complicates the resolution of this problem. Please get in touch with me privately. Update -------- I've been receiving emails until today with no issues at all. Also I had no issue getting the email from Felixx two days ago before he suddenly went incommunicado. How do I get in touch via Facebook? I've never had support from PIA via Facebook. Update -------- I'm actually on PIA's Facebook page now and am trying to get in touch via Facebook Messenger. Why did you guys do away with your Chat feature???? You guys were so responsive back then. I currently have my Messenger screen open but nobody is responding after I introduced myself. Update 22 March 2019 -------------------------- You guys seem to be more interested in protecting your reputation on Trustpilot than replying to emails sent directly to you. How is it when I post a review on Trustpilot than the response is so fast? Anyway your agent did respond to me on Facebook and told me that my request was already escalated to the supervisor and he/she would review it a couple of hours ago. It has been more than a couple of hours and I haven't heard from the supervisor. The agent also already confirmed my email address with me so there should be no problem contacting me now. Update ====== Maggie L. an agent from PIA sent me an email and merged my accounts. It shouldn't have happened in the first place and it was touch and go for awhile as I didn't think I was ever going to hear back from PIA based on all the bad feedback from other PIA users but it got resolved for me - eventually. I just starting using it but overall I'm pretty happy with the service. I don't have any slow access to internet and eveything is working as expected. Thank you
First of all, your VPN software slowed my two iphones and ipad devises down to a snails pace. I tried to connect my desktop and your software errored out; stating that I had an existing copy running, which I couldn't find. I requested help and your representative he didn't know how to help. Therefore, I have emailed your representative Jerry L to cancel my subscription and return my money.
I've been a customer for a few years now, received a promotional email that would allow me to continue paying the same price (they were increasing their fees) if I paid for 3 years - they said they'd only charge me when my account was due to renew. Can you guess what happened? I had 75 days to go and they charged me immediately, no explanations. I contacted them twice already and have been waiting for a reply for a week now. If you're planning on using PIA, cancel your subscription as soon as you've paid. This way they won't be able to renew it without consent, and beware of "promotional emails" from them.
Excellent server options with the anonymity everyone using a VPN strives for. The ping, up, and down speeds are all impressive. I can game on this VPN with little to no lag. I get about a 5 meg drop on my downloads when my VPN which isn’t much considering the 50+ meg/s options nowadays. I don’t notice much change in my up speeds. This is everything I want in a VPN.

This company is unreachable without an act of God. So if you push a wrong key,or anything like that they will charge you immediately. Then you have zero way of reaching anyone to help get your money back, or even ask any questions. I let the charge of $39 slide last year, but not this year. I am still in a panic they will try and charge me again this year , which if they do I will have my credit card company refund my money. This is not only an unprofessional company, it is certainly a very questionable one. My recommendation is look elsewhere for private internet access. I’m sure there are plenty of other companies that offer the same type service, but you probably can get help, and speak to someone there.
When used in ideal conditions such as fast connections and in reliable service areas, VPN by PIA is outstanding. The ability to include killswitch when the VPN disconnects is great. The only issues I run into are external to PIA such as workplace managed operating environments with authentications for emails and lousy reception when I find myself working from a more regional area with low coverage. I may only redirect by traffic to the next state over for the sake of privacy but I imagine the quality holds up even if I work to redirect from Australia to Switzerland rather than one Australian state to another.
The service has been great so far, fast servers, plenty of connections to choose from, great support among all of the platforms i.e: Windows, OSX, Android, Linux, etc..
Best vpn i buyit for popcorn and its best i try diffrent vpns but this one have most good connection and futures i love it.
