Network speed is excellent, no degradation from native access is noticeable. Many countries points-of-presence are available. Client software is very good and easy to install. This is an excellent service well worth the money.

Though they have multiple servers, their speeds fluctuate on them so often that you're constantly having to go into settings to find better ones. For a low cost option this wouldn't be the end of the world, but I have serious issues with just how secure they are. For example, I (after some time) kept getting notices that my operating drive was close to full. I spent HOURS combing through my files trying to figure out what was taking up space. I downloaded and ran multiple drive diagnostic programs (thinking my drive was failing) and ran numerous virus / malaware scans trying to see if I was infected. I finally found a program that gave a specific breakdown of hard to see files and their size, and much to my surprise was a file from PIA called 'LOGS' (this from a company that says they never store logs) that was near 50 GB!! I called PIA to figure out what the hell it was, and was told that this was there to help ME in case I needed to diagnose connection issues. I told them I'd never agreed for anything to be logged, and no where did it state that anything would be. They told me they were having some problems where the log files got very big on windows 10 - however at no time did PIA make their users aware of this problem. I received convoluted instructions about how to disable logging by issuing a series of commands in DOS, but by this point I was beyond frustrated. Zero communication of issues, questionable privacy, slow and unfriendly customer service. NOT WORTH THE FOUR BUCKS A MONTH. UPDATE: - Well it gets worse. I recently browsed to the PIA website, with PIA installed and operating, where I found a message saying 'you're not protected'. I got in touch with customer service to see why their website was showing my IP address with the VPN on and they said 'oh it looks like you're using the older version'. At NO time was I told to update the software, in fact I've been going along blissfully unaware anything was amiss. The software SHOWED that it was working, when in fact it was not. The answer from the rep was 'well I always personally suggest users browse to our website periodically to see if their VPN actually is working properly'. I've NEVER been told this since installing PIA. How many users of PIA are now completely unprotected, and unaware of it as the software doesn't give ANY indication that 1. it's no longer working (indeed it shows that it is) and 2. No prompt to update, no correspondence from the company etc. Honestly, I can't see how this company could get any worse. Absolutely unacceptable. PIA users need to check RIGHT NOW whether they're using the updated software by browsing to their website. I'm willing to bet THOUSANDS of people are not. BRUTAL.

My experience with PIA was unsatisfactory. I have reservations about the security and reliability of their product. First, whenever I connected to the VPN almost all of my bandwidth was consumed. When I disconnected and ran the same speed test my bandwidth increased to what it should be. Second, the application requires elevated permissions to run. As an IT pro I learned years ago to never do anything on the Internet with elevated permissions. The last issue is the fact that they said they would give me my money back a couple of months ago. I haven't seen it yet.

Love the company. Service is generally great. I've had a couple times where I couldn't connect, but their customer support is great as well and helped me out via live-chat. Frequently recommend it to friends.

I took the 1 year plan and have had no problem at all since start. Sometimes the speed drops below 4 mb/s when torrenting but that is most of the time cause there is no seeders. Works perfekt on Android and iPhone also, never used there own "app". I use the openVPN client and just enter account and password. Works like a charm!

As soon as i installed it we had a serious drop in speed, from >80mbps to <20mbps. Chat support told me to try different ports, none helped, one even failed to ever connect (53) leaving me exposed. Next chat support told me to change my DNS numbers, so I did, still no help. The next one tells me that it is complicated and to install a program called MTR, which I did and I attached the results (with and without using PIA) to an email to tech support. The email I get back tells me to install MTR and send them the results, which were already in the original email, both in text and as attachments. I am just exhausted trying to get this to work and I don't think it's been quite 24 hours yet.

costumer service is amazing fast response help full dedicated keeps you up to date on their social media of any problems and there servers are fast reliant barley any speed lost and great server locations are the world,very cheap and for the service you are receiving amazing for the price been with for 3 years wouldn't switch to anyone else. also managed to convince 5 friends to join and they have all thanked me for helping them find a good VPN service.

I have 40Mb broadband at home and I almost always get to max out the connection when using PIA. It has always been available when I've tried to connect, and the client is intuitive and easy to use (with the more advanced options just a click away). I've used them for over 2 years now, and have started moving members of my family over too.
