I didn't coin this term, but I wish I did. It is completely applicable. In the 6 months I have had them, I have had bad experiences with tech support every time. PIA's service works about 80% of the time, and there's no telling when you'll be dropped, or where you will be on the web. Your privacy is compromised, to say the least. If you're lucky, they will follow their script and send you to a link on their support page you have already tried. If you're not, the tech CSR will drop you. Speeds are slow (non PIA I get about 85-90MBPS, when it's working no more than 5), and service is lacking, at best. I wish I knew of a better recommendation, but I don't. If you know what you're doing, and can get in and get out w/o having to interact with the staff, you're OK. Just like wally mart. If not, good luck........

PIA have an excellent support team, good price on VPN service if you want a vpn get this one!
Been using them for a couple of years now. Great encryption, support and speed. Compared to some of their competitors, I'd say the others needs to step up their game.
Some issues with the software, but their VPN's work great :) I've had a one year sub, because of the cheap prices! Best value!
Les reviews en francais sont rare donc je me permet d'en publier un.. J'ai testé plusieurs compagnies VPN et je dois dire que PIA est la meilleure que j'ai eu la chance d'essayer jusqu'à maintenant ! Il n'y a jamais aucune interruption de services et le téléchargement ce fait très rapidement.. de plus l'option "auto" permet de te connecter aux serveurs les plus rapide en un simple clic.. Je recommande !
Sadly it did not work for me, I was getting disconnected all the time. The app looks a bit primitive as of this writing, too. I give them two stars instead of one because their support is very prompt, they accept bitcoin and they refunded my bitcoins back once I cancelled.
They keep absolutely no logs, have a feature packed android app, amazing support*, reliable and fast servers, a large amount of servers in different countries, unlimited data and very good pricing. *The support is seriously amazing. 1. The live chat is not hidden behind 100 links, it's right in the bottom right-hand corner when you log in. 2. I have never waited for more than 20 seconds... seriously 3. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly What more could you want? If you need a VPN for any reason.. from torrenting to watching Netflix USA... look no further. Trust me, I have used many VPNs!
Just cancelled my HMA account after having many connection issues from start and very poor connection speed. Thought would give these guys a bash and what a good choice it was. Decent speeds from the get go and after bit of tweaking with aid of support forum the download speeds are almost on par with my direct connection speeds. If looking for a reliable VPN service give them a go as I honestly do not believe for the price you could do better!
This company is very simple, yet very good, with experience on their field of work. Affordable prices for their plans, I myself am using the 12month plan right now. I've been a PIA user for about 2 months, and all I can say is that it has not disappointed me. I use PIA in my Mac OS X with no problem after some fiddling with the firewall, and adding the exception to one of the PIA's executable. I guess they need to make this an automatic task on their installer, but thats ok, everyone knows a mac product is different than windows. Speed hasn't been an issue, it's the same as it was before using it. I feel safe and anonymous while browsing through the web with this. I've been recommended PIA by a colleague and now I'm sure I will recommend it to all my friends. If you ever get any issues or problems always send a support ticket to them, they enjoy helping us! Couldn't be happier using it, I love it!
