As 3 years users, I would recommend PIA.
Fast download speeds, thanks. A few sites don't like it but not enough to bother me.
This company and the service they provide is top notch and an ever expanding "people's" empire that helps the little guys (me) to establish the security, privacy, and choice that is much needed in the digital age. Their responsiveness to our requests and continued service is quick, effective, and certainly they hear what we say. In addition, their continued efforts to expand into different countries, implement new improvements to their mobile solutions and apps, as well as a strong emphasis on the balance of speed and security, helps them remain a forerunner in the brave new (or old) world of choice and privacy.
I consider myself a power-user of PIA, leveraging it whenever I travel, spanning multiple operating systems and physical devices. I even have some hardware devices at home routing specific traffic out over an OpenVPN tunnel. PIA offers a great variety of endpoints and features, and I cannot recall any downtime in my near 3 years as a customer.
The service is reliable, easy to set up & use on multiple machines. Any time that I have had issues the customer service through online chat was prompt and courteous. Highly recommended for novice and advanced users.
No problems or worries after 3 years use. Not much slower than my ordinary ISP. Haven't really had any need for customer service, so could not comment on that.
The only reason I use PIA is an employer requirement. Been on for 3 years and never used a vpn before. I like the privacy but hate the speed. The client reminds me of dial-up. My computer boots with a connection in 10 seconds. Then I have to wait for the PIA client.....another full minute. The east coast servers are very slow. The other world wide servers seem ok, but if I use them(after a minute for connection), I have to verify ID by phone or email pin to login to sites because of unusual ISP. Notified PIA right off the bat, but to them, this is normal operation. I have no experience with other VPNs, but surely there has to be something better than this. PS--I lost connection while wring this.
Good speeds - straightforward - on the very odd occasion (twice in 12months) something may go wrong its fixed within minutes A good VPN with multiple country options

I have been using PIA for just over 3 years, and I have never had any issues with the service. I have used it extensively with both Windows and Linux. I read another review that claimed they purposely throttle and/or kick torrents. I've never had that happen. I think most of the bad reviews are from people that don't really know what they're doing.
