Generally service has been fine, but recently I have been hit by two reoccurring issues. 1) I have to use OpenVPN with PIA because otherwise WebLock does not work. OpenVPN, pointing to PIA's servers, continually drops the connection and I have to reestablish it manually several times a day. This never happened with the PIA application. 2) Several of the servers continue to be blacklisted and I run into access problems for many websites. Even after trying to whitelist the servers at projecthoneypot, the problem persists.
The easiest to use VPN service running on diverse computer and mobile platforms with more than sufficient USA and international servers that is both affordable and more reliable than all of the other (several dozen) alternatives I have tried in recent years. Their promise to never log activity is the most explicit and uncompromising service available in North America.
I'm now starting my second year with PIA. Works quite well on my computers, phone, and tablet. Have encountered a couple of websites that identified my address as VPN generated and wouldn't connect, but otherwise, I've been quite pleased with both connection and speed. Recommended.
PIA has been a great service for your private internet browsing, user friendly and you should all try it.
I always find that customer service is one of the most important factors in a company. I've had a few issues with speed and their support seems to be there 24 hrs/day (not sure if it is). They've walked me through solutions and got things back running. Not many companies have good customer service today.
PIA makes VPN security easy and affordable. The peace of mind that comes with knowing you are completely safe is well worth the cost. It works flawlessly, every time I start up my computer. Try it you won't be sorry.
Good service, a few minor speed issues occasionally. On my 2nd year now, am quite satisfied.
Using it for past two years. Download speeds vary from time to time but average 2-3 m/s. Not as fast as if with no VPN but helps a lot with privacy. Though the company is based in USA, they erase all logs! ( so thy say)... Can't be the price vs quality. Only issue is, doesn't connect to Hulu, airport wifi, Comcast wifi hot spots. Please fix this and no more has to be done ,..for now.
I've had PIA or several years now and other then a few speed issues that we tweaked out, have been satisfied. My one question is I've started to notice going to websites that deny me access because they know my IPS is a generated one and not my actual one. I've even been denied saying my IPS has been reported as sending spam or malware. If I'm anonymous then how do they know my IPS is not real. And with that, how can I access the BBC or other foreign TV or news as advertised through the foreign servers if they can automatically know the generated IPS is fake. As for the Netflix issue, I have my PIA on at all times and it has not interfered with me accessing my Netflix acct.. But that may be an issue from someone living abroad.
orginally had issue interacting with Malwarebytes anti-malware which a forum helped sort out. generally really good speeds. usually takes a good 30s to load up before can access internet, but guess small price to pay for privacy now had it for 2 years and would agree with all that JKW said
