Terrible, Brand new Mac desktop, installed on recommendation of friend. App worked first few days, than did not start up on login as set up. wouldnt open at all. Then reinstalled and installation wont work because download stalls at around 95%...never again.
Personally I was sceptical at first towards the service till my friend suggested I try it out. They offer apps for all devices including mobile, have many servers with great speeds and take your privacy seriously. The deal breaker for me was them offering a year's subscription for only 40$! Haven't been happier since I got this.
Initially it appeared my request ticket for a refund was ignored when I received a link to provide feedback here on TrustPilot. After seeing a logon to the Android app would not authenticate on day 1 of my having purchased it (7-day trial in mind), and reading multiple reports on Reddit on how that may not be an unusual experience, I requested a refund rather than risk going past the 7-day money-back guarantee. After reporting on my lack of response here, Jason V. with PIA made it right and assured me the refund request was now processed. Thank you, Jason.
Edit: After a week and a half I got in touch with support. They weren't helpful. They didn't seem to have read my ticket and gave me instructions for installing the program, instead of re-installing it. And those two are very different for this program, as it turned out. Thankfully the forums were more helpful and i got it working. Since then it has been working perfectly! That is why i give 4 starts instead of 3. After submitting a ticket to support i received an Email that i had to respond in order for my ticket to be processed but nobody has contacted me back yet. If their agents are ready to support me 24/7, why haven't i gotten anything more than an automated message in the last few days? The VPN doesn't seem to work on Ubuntu but it works just fine on Windows. The ticket number is 462955. It has been weeks but i just keep getting automatic support Email that i should reply if i have a problem.
Easiest to use and the peace of mind that you are 100% safe browsing the web, downloading or streaming.
Only a marginal decrease in download speeds when using PIA. However I would prefer if it were possible to make PIA completely disappear from my Android system tray. ATM I can disable PIA notifications, but there is another which is labeled as "android system". I will not disable android system notifications as I may miss important updates from the OS. Have not had to contact customer service yet so cannot comment on the previous had reviews, which have largely been based on speed of reply (or lack there of).
I have been requested technical help twice. Zero response. If a user is only given 7 days to decide and there are no responses in days... This is absolutely not professional. It seems as if the service might be decent pending resolving issues and getting support. But to no avail. Pick a different service. Unfortunate.
No response to 3 separate requests for help connecting to PIA service
I am very happy with the service. I know they protect my privacy online. That is what I am paying for. The few troubke tickets I submitted were responded to quickly. Good value for the money.
I gave them a written request for a refund the day after subscribing (which is within their 7 day "guarantee" but they have ignored it. I went on Facebook and noticed that dozens of other subscribers have the same issue. It's a scam! My order number is Order Number: 7680954 Anthony Buccino
