This is a common "they make it hard to cancel" story. I tried Nord in December 2017. I live in China, so many VPNs don't work at all. Perhaps Nord works elsewhere, but it didn't work for me at all on my phone or computers. I cancelled after about half an hour of trying. I was foolish and didn't look at my credit card statement closely and paid the $11.95 a month for a whole year before recognizing I was being charged for a service I never used and thought I cancelled. When I asked for a refund, they said "You agreed to our terms of service." They didn't check to see that I never once logged on to the service. Watch out for this scummy company.
I have used NordVPN the last 2 years and it works great - both on Mac and IOS-app. Extremely stable especially when connecting to neighbouring countries (Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Germany, etc.). Typically download is 70-80 Mbit, upload 25 Mbit (have 100/30 Mbit). Only issue is generally slow connection to USA/Canada which reduces speed to only 2-3 Mbit (and too slow for Netflix). Will give them 5 stars when they improve cross atlantic connection and speed!
Nord vpn is just another overated service no better than a £20 a year subscrition of ebay save your money truuuust me load of crap took a years subscription out my bank while a was away on me honeymoon got back an back to the grind as ye do didnt even realise they had took it till it was to late to cancel wrongens at least d turpin wore a mask the service is absolutley shockin aswell to be precise ((((crap )))save ye money people try ((spider vpn )) at least there reviews ar decent unlike these jokers ?? thats why they take a full year in one hit they no ye wont be back so sting yer first bye bye nord ye wrongens you should send an email asking people do they wish to carry on with the contract you prey on people forgetting about it its just a rolling contract of a 7 day trail naughty
Ease of signup - great Ease of install and setup - great Using the product was hopeless Support was terrible. Once installed - BBC iplayer would not work - obviously down to the IP in question - too many people using it or too many people from outside the UK using it. I spoke to support and they very bluntly denied the issue offering no assistance at all other than a BBC iplayer page and I am now waiting a refund. Great product flawed by exceptionally poor support. I thank you for your reply below and would love to continue with your service but you need to address the issues. I have found other services with issues on certain IP addresses of yours too. You state iplayer works - this is DEFINITELY not the case on all of your IPs, why don’t you work with people to rectify the affected IP addresses rather than simply saying that there is no problem.
I ordered NordVPN based on AARP's rec. I found it completely unuseable -- it locked me out of almost all websites, including Amazon, and many others--over 95% of them. I couldn't get past my opening page. I tried to use the chat service, but (and I freely admit that I am not good with anything other than basics w/ computing), but I spent over 45 minutes on the phone w/ a CSR, who was nice and tried to be helpful. However, it was a complete waste of time--we never got beyond the 1st step in his instructions--which were completely a foreign language to me. I asked for a CSR who could do a screen share--but they do not have that capability (like so many organizations do). Nor do they give any warning up front that it was so hard to get it to work and that you would be locked out of internet access other than your home page. I would have had to pay my computer guy to come over and get it installed on all my devices, I rec to Nord that they really need to be able to do a screenshare to help us computer neophytes. They are however refunding my money for the 3 yr subscription. If you are very well acquainted w/ computers and IT, you probably wouldn't have the problems I had, but I found it to be very unusable and quite frustrating.
How can you advertise so untruthfully, when you do not deliver a trustful vpn, as you promise? Many customers here on Trustpilot write about that. I am not the only one. If you want customers to stay, you need to solve problems for many customers, that Nordvpn does not work as it should. And you need to give a faster and better service to give much faster solution. Please do not answer anything about ID as you usaually do! I have now been writing with many many different "succes" managers, for more than one month, starting with chat. I write once time pr. day, and still today, after very much writing, my vpn does not work. I have vpn, because I got hacked, and now I have been forced to use internet without vpn, because your "succes" team cannot solve problems, that they describe as common and easy to solve. How can you call it "succes" management, when you have nobody who is capable to get my Nord vpn to work after one months writing? A new manager is answering every time, and they do not read casehistory, and they do not answer my questions. If you want unhappy customers, it is a very good way you provide your service. From disappointed customer whom after one month writing with "service" team, still have a Nordvpn that is not working.
Just very unreliable after a few months of usage. Frequent daily interruptions in service in UK. Occasional failures even to connect. Quite disappointed after reading reviews elsewhere before purchase. ===================================== Update after your reply: Thank you for the reply. As I was not expecting this repetitive interruption I just worked without NordVPN and connected later. I would also have expected that you would have some automation that monitored these things so that issues would be corrected fairly rapidly once detected. If it remains an issue then I will try your support service. Thank you.
I subscribed to your application after searching the net and found you as one of the best 10 VPN apps Not that I’m doing something criminal but I sometimes browse page I don’t want seen in my history and I don’t want to be a victim of a hacker from these sites I would like to inform you that for more than a month now I cannot connect to any server to hide my IP That is after I started my subscription for a couple of weeks at most I cannot connect to a chosen server Best server Dedicated server Or my favorite servers that I used to connect to before This is weird and bad & I think that through my email you can confirm my statement I had it working on 2 notebooks & 2 mobile phones of mine As you stated I can use up to 5 equipment Things were smooth for a couple of weeks then it became very difficult to connect And now I cannot connect at all I went out of the trap of possible hackers through suspicious page on web to fall in the trap of paying subscription for a year to an app that works for 2 weeks I would like to have a prompt response plz

My experience is that Nord refuses to provide a 1 800 number for customer support. Their customer support is hiding behind a computer screen via chat. The instructions given did not fix my connectivity issue. Do what I did and upgrade to a better VPN experience. Go to AVAST.
