Not sure how it's possible but for me its the best VPN. It's the 3rd I've tried.
speed went from 100+ to 3. when I asked for support the tech asked me to do things I did not know how to do. this service is NOT user friendly and their tech support is unwilling to step you through the process of improving your speed if its even possible. now lets see how long it takes to get my refund. Very dissapointed
I took out a two year subscription, with NordVPN, several months ago, and installed it on a desktop and laptop computer, both running Windows 7 (64 bit). I get the impression that the software is still being developed and has glitches that need fixing. With NordVPN running, using Firefox as a browser and Google as a search engine, Google almost always displays an ‘unusual activity detected’ warning, which requires completion of a (rather stupid and time consuming) CAPTCHA test to clear. This only occurs when NordVPN is running. Fortunately there are some excellent browsers, and search engines, out there that can prevent this. I have to wonder if VPN isn’t just a con, and even if not, what it really achieves. OK, if you do not want to reveal your location and /or which websites you are visiting, when using a wireless router, then it may be of some use, particularly if you are connecting to the internet in a public place. As such it may then have a use on a mobile device. However, if you are using a desktop computer, which is hard wired to your home router then there seems little point in VPN. The important thing is not to exchange sensitive information over a public network under any circumstances. The money spent on VPN is better spent, I believe, on a good antivirus (updated regularly), firewall and password manager. As for me I am very dissatisfied with it, and will not be renewing my subscription.
Absurd advertising. I registered for one month plan and according to the web site there is no automatic charges. After 2 days I Just stopped using the vpn, but todas(5months after I registered they Stil charging my card Every month...this guys até stealing my money. Refund me nos!!!!
Poor: Not Fit for Purpose After using ExpressVPN for over a year, I tried NordVPN as it was considerably cheaper and there were glowing reviews on a lot of Specialist VPN sites. After trying it for a week, in parallel with Express VPN, I have to say that NordVPN was very poor and I could not connect to several streams. Support did not really help solve the problem and I decided to cancel as I was within the 30 day period. I also need VPN fro China and I was not confident NordVPN would work in China. Overall, unsophisticated and not fit for purpose. No wonder they are offering heavy discounts. I have now renewed with ExpressVPN, even though it is nearly three times as expensive, but it is worth it!.
Not fit for purpose. I purchased NordVPN specifically to use BBC iPlayer while abroad on a mac laptop or an Amazon Fire TV. It works only occasionally and after you tried a number of different VPN servers. Support is unhelpful. One note to add: I raised the issue that the VPN was not working and not fit for purpose while in the 30 days free cancellation period. The staff wasted time till I was outside of it. Beware, don't get stung like me!!! Avoid
Does not hide your location--you can log on to another server and guess what? Google, Netflix, whomever, knows exactly where you are. I just logged onto a NordVPN server and tried searching for a particular type of store "near me," a Google option.The list of outlets was all about "near me" and accurately described locations within meters. Canadians could use VPNs to watch international Netflix but no more. Superior technologies out there have got this figured out. VPN advertising likes to frighten people with the notion that they're not safe without using a VPN but I'm not buying it nor am I renewing my subscription.
Ok so i have decided to try Nordvpn and took up the offer they advertise on their website for 1 week free trial and or 30 day money back guarantee. All was well Service seemed fine then i had the full amount of money for the 3 year plan taken from my bank account which was more than advertised so on this discrepancy i used the Noedvpn chat and spoke to Judy who informed that there was a charge for vat i said yes that was indicated when i chose to pay in GBP but not in the intial add and as far as i am aware VAT in the UK is not Variable it is set at 20% so i should have paid the amount as advertised and not a penny more,i said i wasn't happy with this extra charge and was thinking about cancelling (note i said thinking about cancelling) she then said you will receive a refund and nothing else she then closed the chat. I then checked my bank account after the 7 days and noticed i had received a refund from Nordvpn of what i presumed was a FULL refund less than i had paid in full, i then noticed my account with nordvpn was closed and i couldn't connect. Again i went onto their chat and inquired as to what was happening , I spoke to Donald who said that the discrepancy for the charges was due to my bank charging for currency rates as they do not accept GBP even tho it gives you the choice to choose which currency to pay with. I checked out their terms and conditions and policies and nowhere does it state that charges may apply for currency exchanges and indeed Donald agreed there is nothing in their T&Cs regarding this. I told him directly what i thought of their customer services as he was abrupt and rude he then offered another week free but i said i would like to take the 30 day Guarantee as advertised but he says i cancelled my account in my last chat which was untrue as said before i was thinking about it , He then said he would give me 2 weeks free by this time i was loosing the will to live as i wasn't getting anywhere so i accepted the free 2 weeks and alas the chat was closed abruptly with no thanks or apologies.. So just to make it clear they offer 7 days free but that is NOT TRUE as you pay currency exchange fees and extra VAT according to Judy, they do not offer a FULL refund for 30 day as again they CLAIM you pay currency exchange fees, Very false misleading website indeed it says 3 year plan = £2.29 per mth @ £82.40 billed every 3 years (no mention of vat or currency exchange charges) they took from me for this plan £100.07 = £2.77 per mth!! from my bank account i then received what they say was a full refund within the 30 days of £94.46 ?? oh and you will notice the time clock above on the website never changes try clearing cookies and going back to page the clock begins again....! Can they really be trusted?
This is Very bad VPN. I have purchased it, But I couldn't use it 1 time even. Very Bad VPN. Never use this VPN.
Grundsätzlich in Ordnung im Praxiseinsatz hatte ich aber zahlreiche technische Probleme, daher nur ein akzeptabel mit einigen Einschränkungen.
