Nord VPN is the first VPN provider I have ever used and I honestly doubt anyone could match their price, quality and customer service. I have been in the IT support and management field for over 30 years and I find them to be beyond outstanding. As long as they maintain this degree of excellence, I will remain a loyal customer for life.
Love the service, Large choice of servers in many different countries. Some lightning fast, others not so much but you can pick and choose until you find the right server for you on any given day. Also, price wise NordVPN is very well placed in the marketplace. I purchased a three year contract. Very happy. App on my iMac is a bit buggy. At the moment, if you want to change servers you have to disconnect, then completely close the app and restart it. This is new after the latest update. They do look after these little bugs but not quickly.
I don't know if their advertising campaign was so successful that their servers can't cope with an influx of new customers or if the fault lies with recent updates but I have become increasingly disappointed with its performance on my Windows10 PC. (I don't seem to have the same problems on either my iPad or Android phone and I continue to be completely satisfied on these platforms.) The most annoying issues are: (a) it used to open automatically and fast when I booted up my PC whereas now it does start the automatic startup process but never seems to complete so I have to cancel and restart the login which usually works, but takes a long time to get there. (b) It occasionally drops the connection so I have to keep checking. (c) I always let my PC select the most appropriate server which should be in the UK but on occasions, while it might say I'm UK connected, I sometimes wonder as Sky Go TV will often not connect because, it says, I'm not based in the UK and the same can happen with the BBC service. I think that NordVPN has a workround for this but it isn't convenient having to go searching for the addresses of specific servers.
Excellent company. In the past they helped me very well and quick with some custom settings.
Does not offer port forwarding, crippling P2P/Torrent upload functionality supposedly to prevent illegal activity. Torrents tend to stand idle.

I have had a good evening experience with this VPN. We travel a lot and appreciate the added security for handling out online banking and financial affairs. We do suffer from some locations finding significantly slower servers than others and a few web sites that you’d really like the added security just not working with the vpn connected (such as credit karma). On the whole, our virus/malware prevention software reports very few attacks and at least some of this could be attributed to the vpn. One improvement i’d Like to see is the server map populated with some sort of speed/load information so I could make choices of choosing a server based not only on speed but country and region. This could be a big help when traveling internationally. I’d also appreciate getting alerts when a faster/better connection is found so could have the option to switch. Otherwise, good stuff.
