I had a positive experience with PIA for the first two years I used the service. The last few versions however have slowed speeds down to a crawl. I've spent weeks working with tech support but I get nowhere. What is especially frustrating is they tell you to use their speedtest site instead of the one everyone else uses. Their speedtest site gives false readings of faster speeds, ones I don't experience anywhere else on the web. I can't recommend them anymore because the speeds are just too slow. Unless you can find their client from two years ago, look for another VPN. Edit Reply: Thanks but I have already had dozens of emails back and forth with your helpdesk, to no avail. Their last response blamed my internet connection. Without the VPN turned on I get 100 Mbps, with PIA VPN I get maybe 5 Mbps to closest vpn. And I'd love to know why you won't accept speedtest.net results and insist on using some internal speed test that doesn't reflect the speeds I get anywhere other than your internal speed test.

PIA is by far the best and fastest of the four paid for services I've had in the last five years. Prompt teply to emails and good follow-up. Easy to use and configure with timely updates. Just renewed and see no reason why I won't next year.

Internet connection slows down a little when I have the VPN connected, but if I'm going through a server in Europe and I'm in the states, I expect as much. Solid service.

Was working fine until the client updated a few months ago. Not only was internet speed throttled, but it wreaked havoc with my computer. Was so bad, forced to uninstall. Customer Support was very unhelpful in this regard and denied refund.

I have been using PIA for about 2 years now. During this time i traveled a lot for work, going to both China and Singapore extensively. With PIA i felt both secure in the connections i made both on my laptop and on my mobile phone and allowed me to connect to familiar services back home in the US even while traveling. I have never had any issues with their service and their speed is great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a VPN solution, without reservations.
