okay I'm not one to put down five stars for things unless they're actually five stars and PIA is definitely five stars. When you can go online and not have trackers follow you around and record all your information and then save it to your computer that's a good thing. and with their low prices and many different servers all over the world, you can get rid of the limited access your government imposes and freely open your mind.
Had a few glitches getting set up, but a combination of me playing with it and tech support helping, I got it to run. Haven't experimented with the dashboard thing yet. If it stays stable, I'll switch from four to five stars. I wish I could change my username to something I'll remember.
I've got that i need from a good VPN service: reliability, speed, different access types (OpenVPN, L2TP, PPTP), fast and accurate support responses.
My Friend recommended your service years ago, I tried it, it was good then, but GREAT NOW. The client improvements you've done on Windows are very nice, easy to use and don't force clients to do anything. I've installed for all my family so we can be confident things are private. thanks again for an affordable, secure and easy to you service
The linux experience has much improved over the years. Back when I first used them the only real option was a hassle via OpenVpn with a lot of manual configuration and fiddling around with files needed. Now its as simple as a sudo apt-get with a nice UI (for the Debian flavors anyhow). The ease of use is what prompted me to finally upgrade to the full year.
This VPN service was easy to purchase and easy to install. I feel safe using my computer now. I don't know why anyone wouldn't install this on their PC or Mac.
Horrible connection speeds. Bad customer service. Go with IPVanish. They are fast, and have online support so you dont have to wait for an email response from someone who doesnt care about you or your situation. Very displease with PIA. Canceled withing 2 weeks and did not receive a refund.
The only VPN provider I use. I've have had no issues at all. I use them on my Android phone, my wife's iPhone, my home router, and have it on all of my various laptops for when I travel. Mac, windows, and Linux. I cannot comment on customer service because I've never had to contact them. Easy setup, self explainable settings, and no issues. It just works.
Cannot find any user guide. Company does not have tech support or customer service. I emailed and received a canned bot response for a different question. It finished by telling me to watch a cartoon video about what a vpn is.
The service is mostly reliable. I have had to forcibly shutdown and restart wireless services on my phone a few times before I can reconnect to the VPN. If I disable the VPN then there is no problem. A bit of a slow response a few times, but overall still good. It would be nice to have a way for some services (Netflix, Hulu, etc) to not know it is a VPN. I have to disable the vpn to use them. No idea how they could be done, though.
