Have been using PIA for several years now. No problems with installation, customer service readily available if you have questions. Service connects quickly and us trustworthy. No noticeable slowing down of browser speed when connected to VPN. Highly recommend PIA.
It is to early to make a definitive recommendation. I have had a couple issues with the program working with Mcafee Internet Security. Like a lot of past posters here there seem to be a real lack of prompt customer service. I sent in 2 minor request and never heard back, so I had to keep doing trial & error until I found a solution. Many of the self help instructions seem to be written by geeks for geeks. Self help is not user friendly to the average person.
Desktop client stopped working OS X 10.11.6 PIA Client worked first day then failed to open after that. Filed a ticket, got acknowledgements, but no advice. The Google Chrome extension worked well. Cancellation of the trial was very easy and the trial license iremains in effect for the full 30 days after registration. I get the impression that the support staff is small. 2017-09-25 To: PIA support. Thanks for the offer of help, but I've been too long since my previous VPN service period ended. I believe that my experience is unusual, but I have no time to spend troubleshooting now and I've signed with another company.
Do not trust this company. They claim to offer support and a money-back guarantee. They do not reply to support emails and seem to just push out the boat, so that 7 days pass before they respond to your complaints. I feel cheated and would not recommend. EDIT: Thank you for replying. It seems from the comments below that you are constantly "running behind". My ticket numbers are 447993 and 446976. Please process the refund asap and contact me to confirm. EDIT: Thank you for processing refund. A star added because of good service on this board, I just wish you would respond to your customer service emails as quickly.
I paid for it, and have yet to get it working. I have 2 support tickets in and have not heard anything. I may cancel. There has to be another one out there that actually cares about their customer.
Service was poor. After two days, I decided to cancel and get the refund (per their 7 day trial window guarantee). Their customer service won't respond to my refund request. I may have to dispute with my credit card company, which is a drag.
Signed up, paid money, worked for a day. Submitted a request for support (447580). Still waiting. A week later, no service. Regret changing from past supplier. I went to this website being ready to pay. And I just needed to reconfirm some technical requirements. The every single page is full of useless ads and buttons of "Join", "Join", "Join". It took hours to pass through and collect real technical information (just few lines of plain text spread across tens of blog articles). And still I failed to locate a crucial piece of the information. For sure, it does not work now. I was hoping the client support could help me. Instead, all I have 3 days later are - two ticket confirmations - one sorry from robot for too busy human being staff - one strange automatic message explaining I have to open yet another ticket - one invitation to leave this feedback as probably I expected to be satisfied. Sorry, looks like something went out of the owner's control here. P.S. Thank you for the update here, but how to communicate, there no option to respond here. Ok my tickets are 447291 and 447115

Have used PIA for a few days now; chosen based on favorable CNET reviews, and found it easy to install and connect and it maintains Internet speeds. Have already recommended it personally for browsing and streaming with straightforward type of applications. Am a technical support person and will continue to evaluate the application; so far, so good!
