Great possibilities of configuration and very efficient. Where it miss though, is for beginners usage. For example, some VPN can completely take care of connections problems, no need to to try new ports or switch to another protocol. I often have to. To people that know how to handle this, it's fine, but, for people that need something that works out of the box, it's the kind of thing that would make them just shut it off. The second problem is a location one. Using a Canadian 's server often shows as US. I know that PIA isn't made to be working with Netflix, but, I often face conflict with sites I need to connect that check location for security purposes. Really problematic...

Private Internet Access' VPN service functions largely as advertised, with one notable exception discovered so far (one month): it prevents Netflix from working correctly. Netflix plays games with regional streaming and has sophisticated VPN detection; when it detects that a VPN is being used it blocks access to the Netflix streaming service. Depending which perspective one chooses, the blame could be placed with either party. Normally one might simply choose to disable the VPN for Netflix use, but I configured the VPN to disable my network connection entirely when the VPN is disconnected and so I no longer have that option. I've effectively had to abandon Netflix. With regard to disconnections, I think I've experienced one unexpected disconnection in the first month, with the VPN active virtually 100% of the time. Oh, one other hiccup: Comodo Dragon, a Chrome browser variant, now no longer works, failing to resolve DNS requests. I suspect but haven't confirmed that it's tied itself to the former virtual network connection and isn't using the active one created by the VPN setup.

Works well. There is one problem I have run into, PIA will not let see GOES weather because it uses flash, I have to shut down PIA then bring up GOES weather and then turn on PIA, it's a pia.

I became unemployed in July 2017. I could not afford to renew my membership, so I had to cancel. PIA made it very easy and seamless, and did not pester me with ads or anything to get me to change my mind. When I got a new job, I decided to come back to PIA for a 2-year membership. The install is very easy and PIA gives peace of mind. Thanks!

Great VPN !! I've tried others and none are as easy to use and understand. Installed on Windows and IOS smooth sailing on both. Excellent support service.
