It occasionally has problems but what software doesn't? By and large it works invisibly in the background. You can't ask for more than that.

I bought a monthly subscription ($6.95) on July 4. I tried using it to access a couple of UK sites, but it failed to connect. Reading other reviews, Private Internet Access's UK IP addresses are apparently well known and blocked by some UK sites. Consequently its no use to me, I cancelled my subscription within 24 hours. The site I signed up for Private Internet Access say they offer a refund if you cancel within 7 days. Dave Riches

Software wouldn't install correctly in Linux Mint 19 and Ubuntu 18.04. Was unable to find a solution online. I discovered that the install folder was locked with Root permissions and that would fail out the installer. Changed install folder permissions to user/administrator from Root, which allowed the installer to complete.... Works Great.

Very satisfied with my PIA-VPN. I am a novice so I don't mess with advanced settings. One thing I can say is, I can always hook up with a basically local connection my state. I did try another VPN but it always hooked up with a service way north and it was slow. This VPN is fast and I only required tech assistance one time and my problem was solved. I would recommend PIA to family and friends.
