Used PIA while traveling and enjoyed secure browsing/banking/email while in foreign airports and public spaces. No complaints really except that at home I had to constantly disconnect from VPN due to the low regard that many sites have on anonymity. I did have a problem with the auto-renew which appeared without warning at the end of the original term. I did not wish to renew with PIA or any VPN for that matter as I had no current need for the concept. Though I contacted "Customer service" that I wished to discontinue only minutes after notification of the charge, they refused to refund the money for the period that had not yet begun. I recommend using a one-time credit card number for PIA and any other vendors that auto-renew to ensure that they will contact you for permission. Good service and technically reliable; poor character.
Doesn't work with BBC iPlayer. (It used to.) Won't refund my account. :-(
I've used PIA for three years and I am pleased how it operates. I am NOT pleased, however, that I can only get this service through reoccurring automatic payment. I don't like not having control over payment. Cancelling right after purchasing and letting it run out doesn't make me feel any better. I'm in my late seventies and shudder to think my account could continue to be billed open-endedly after I pass away.
The only VPN that I've seen that doesn't keep logs of what I'm doing.
I was using Mullvad previously and one day it totally stopped working (for all their customers, not just me) which was frustrating. So I looked at PC Mag's site and a couple others for recommendations and decided to start with a one month trial of PIA as it got high marks for Mac. Now I am glad that Mullvad failed because PIA is so much easier to use. I can turn it on and leave it on and forget it's there. Previously I was constantly restarting the VPN or even the whole computer because either my internet would slow to a crawl or it couldn't connect to a server. I have been using PIA for about a week and it's such a vast improvement over my previous software that I already pulled the trigger on a 2-year commitment. Another problem I had before is that I would have to turn off my VPN to watch Netflix, but PIA doesn't have that issue. In fact when I was on a BBC site, I wanted to watch a preview for one of their new shows and it wouldn't play because of my location. I switched location to Manchester, and boom, content played immediately. Switching is very fast, and I have yet to be dropped once or have a single issue. I also like that the price covers multiple devices, although I haven't had the chance to try it out on anything but a Mac laptop I remain confident I will like it as the entire experience has been a huge step up and by getting the 2-year plan it's the exact same price of $3 a month. This product is definitely worth the investment.
Whereas with some other privacy services, I occasionally had "issues", with PIA I feel completely safe! Not only that, but their customer service folks are quick to answer any questions that I have had. I am utterly confident that my Internet adventures, with PIA, are completely private.
In the past 15 years I used many different VPN and proxy services both paid and free. I started using PIA 5 years ago and very satisfied. Don't plan to change it. PIA offfers the best value for money.

Wow I paid for service and can’t even use it , because of password. Help line never responded to my call for help Had the same problems the first time , don’t know why I came back????
