I use Nord when traveling, never had any issues. Recommended
I am commenting on their subscription strategy - not the quality of their VPN. I tried signing up for a free period (e.g. followed by 1yr if happy), and the subscription didn't process properly (i.e. screen froze). I tried a couple more times, then found I had 3 subscriptions in iTunes. I contacted NordVPN online chat, and they said basically it's my problem, because I purchased through apple store - must contact apple. I have 3 days to sort this out before NordVPN paid subs kick in, and I have to rely on Apple to avoid costs? I know it may now be out of their hands - but I neither consciously chose to purchase through apple nor was I warned of the problems if doing so. VERY bad treatment of potential customers
Cancelled account ages ago, never subscribed to any feeds and all of a sudden I get spammed by them. Unacceptable - reported! NordVPN tried to remove this comment by claiming I was never their customer... really? Avoid at all costs!
Kept the service for 6 days. Contacted support 3 times and went troubleshooting for 6 hours in that time. Not once could I get an experience that was fast, stable, and allowed me to do what I want in privacy. Their servers are very slow, some overrun, and the service is banned, blocked or getting complaints from P2P sites, netflix, speed tests, everything. Does not work for me in the US. I tried over a dozen servers and switched to IKEv2, crippling their apps, and still no luck. Cancelled.
I have two problems with Norrd VPN. 1. It blocks my windows 10 computer from accessing my epson workforce 630 scanner(but not the print funtction). The fix customer servvice gave worked for one day. 2. With the latest update, I cannot open Nord to turn it off, or for any other purpose. Soi I must remove it from my computer. This simply is not a viable product in my opinion.
Well. Had read alot of good reviews for NordVpn. So far my girlfriend say's she keeps getting problems just surfing the web. I had problem writting this review. And can't even play diablo more than 5 minutes without getting disconnect. Tried to change the settings to get better connection. Still sucks. To bad I paid 2 years upfront :/ 2 star's cause it's cheap. Otherwise 1 star.
Nordvpn loses server connection several times a day and exposes your ip so really not effective at all. It also cuts my internet speed in half by using their servers. When I called technical support they gave me a bunch or nerd talk about splitting and programming not sure if that was a smoke screen or if this product really isn't meant for normal consumers. The best servers they have are in non-english speaking countries so if you use google you will find that all searches are served as being relevant to the country the server is in and not in english.
Worked long enough for me to commit to a 2 year plan but for the past few months, can't seem to hold a connection. Disconnects and reconnects every few minutes which makes using it pretty much impossible. Tech support is not effective - don't seem to care much. I made the mistake of signing up for a long-term plan so that's money down the drain. They don't deliver and won't refund. Edit: See Nord's response below.... Give me a break Nord. How about reflecting some honesty in your reply. You've got my ticket number. I've spoken with your tech support people. I have the arrogant reply from your billing people saying essentially, "go read the terms and conditions. We're not giving you your money back". You're not living up to YOUR end of the Terms and Conditions and still refuse to give me my money back. That's fraudulent advertising. Hope others take note.
All the 5 stars must be made by NordVPN staff ( check yourselves as they are all 6 days or 2 days ago and all only make 2 reviews ) the 30 day 100% refund is rubbish as they want to know the in and out of you're life , they want screen shots , the live chat is a robot of i did as suggested and still they will not refund and im losing 75% of my speed having done everything the generic robot said on live chat ... Avoid as they do not honour the 30 days refund and even ask for " screen shots " and other information which goes against privacy ! False advertising , false speeds , generic live chats and have contacted PayPal and also my card handler *EDIT They do not also say $79 means " we at nord charge what we like " USA to GBP was $1.25 yet you get charged near £65 GBP not the right just over £61 GBP , they say they add " fees " to change currency , no the $79 should be the fee and their problem on the exchange and not for them to penalise people for " fees "
I have had a number of irritating problems with this VPN that I already purchased for 2 years. First, I get capchta challenges from Google, Alibaba, and Amazon all the time. I even got some capchtas from YouTube while logged in with my own YouTube account. I verified this with my free version of Tunnel Bear. With the Tunnel Bear, I didn't get Capchtas when I checked and then reverted back to Nord and the capchtas return. Worst case on several occasions I was blocked from accessing Alibaba several times and PayPal several times. I am unhappy about this purchase because of these issues. They do provide service quickly and respond to issues.
