absolute garbage service and customer service is even worse. avoid!
I wanted to wait a good while, thoroughly and every which way use NordVPN before reviewing it. Frankly, I have some serious doubts some negative reviews here are from genuine NordVPN customers, because be it the service itself or the support/customer service, no way it could be as bad as some have claimed. Even if clueless on how to use/configure this VPN in the first place, their FAQs/help section and chat will sort you out in not much time, be it about connectivity, configuration or billing... I haven't had much cause to go on the support chat but on the few occasions I needed to double check on something or request a previous software version, connections and answers were speedy. Bottom line here is that whatever problem gets encountered, best to go straight for help for there's no shortage of that. Yes things will from time to time go sideways with some servers, including outage, failure etc, but there are more than enough to fall back on until resolved. Some servers will get more in demand than others, and those reaching a certain percentage will be removed from the list until usage has fallen. Specialty servers generally perform well too. I personally never had any issues with the service, and when it comes to speed, no complaints here either. The thing here with speed some either forget or ignore, is that the further away or close geographically is the server you're connected to, the more this will reflect on the speed you'll get, plus there is such a thing as bandwidth, so add to that usage and then do the maths. All things considered, I can only give it top marks but having said that, I sure do hope that it'll stay that way. If not, then it will be time for another review.
One who says the Nord Team and product is impressive I beg to differ. Wrote In to the Nord chat, informing them that their kill switch was not working during startup. Their reply was to uninstall my Anti-Virus, make a long story short, gave them lol, and said don’t reinstall, their reply, “yes that what I am saying” … Well they can jam their s*** product up their A**…
Worked for 5 minutes. What a waste of money.
Not worth your time. Having had an account on 2 separate occasions I honestly suspect the following; • Money Back Guarantee is also an upgraded service The "30-day money-back guarantee policy" gives many people a sense of security when using NordVPN, but both times I had an account (12month & 36month) I saw that my connectivity, speed and service where much better during the money-back period, after which service fell drastically. Support do not want bad reviews so they ask you to please contact them directly instead, but what if nothing has improved even after their "attempts"? Nothing • We can not believe reviews by partial YouTubers, Websites or other marketing mediums as this is clearly where their money is being spent - think not? Compare user reviews such as TrustPilot with company reviews or paid/sponsored reviews. You might ask "why have a second account?" - easy, I gave NordVPN a year between accounts to up their services and fell for the paid reviews online about how "loved" NordVPN has become. seit den letzten UPDATES geht gar nichts mehr. Erst hat nur Netflix gesponnen, dann Facebook und andere große Webseiten und seit kurzem hab ich mit MacOs überhaupt keine Verbindung mehr egal wohin. Egal über welches Protokoll. Service antwortet auf meine Anfrage nicht.
Absolutely useless for BBC iPlayer. 90% of the time iPlayer says that you cannot view content from my location, which means that NordVPN IPs are compromised or leak information. Worked quite well for a few weeks. Now it's useless like ZenMate. Best to use ExpressVPN which is quite slow at times, but at least is never recognized. What a waste of money! I got a three year plan. At that great discount price there had to be something wrong...
Good speed services but on all the environments it looses credentials randomly on IOS and Firefox extension. I find myself logged out and as I use a complex password it is difficult to re-login each time. I paid an 3 year subscription and I am tired of this bug. I use now Windscribe who works much better. It is a pitty that you cannot solve this bug who annoys a lot of users if you read the reviews for the Firefox extension.
1 month trial means 1 month. I signed up for a 1 month membership but it turns out NORDvpn speaks a different English vocabulary in which 1 month means recurring monthly payments. 1 month means 1 month!!! I was charged the first month. They attempted to charge me the following month which I had no idea and then charged me twice in October. I had no idea I’m signed up to their membership until my account was in overdraft. I don’t use the bank account which I signed up with Nord VPN. The account is empty. So not only was I charged for two months but I also got charged $60 of overdraft fees because NORDVpn continued charging my account. Very dishonest way of running a company. 1 month membership means a membership for ONLY 1 month. MONTHLY or YEARLY membership means recurring monthly subscription. I might even say fraudulent.
Nightmare getting this to work, unstable and unreliable, I am IT Literate so pity anyone who is expecting a seamless installation. keeps failing then have to keep restarting the computer, a complete waste of time. used chat support who said use TCP, worked once only still can't get it to work! Update Thanks for the reply I did reach out again to the support team last week and asked for a refund and am still waiting on a reply from that I think the reviews on trustpilot say it all
