i've bought a lifetime subscription to this service via a deal on a deals website. (stacksocial). firstly this great discount makes it alot more affordable to use a vpn service for a longer time without having to worry about the service expiring. the old 5.15.1 client was offered in the first week for usage. it had some stability/reliability issues and didn't work with openvpn due to an error message in the software itself. i submitted a ticket with the suggestion to improve the software on their support website, and they responded to me with extensive information and reasoning. i'm very pleased with this kind of service and definitely recommend their support. they offer auto protocol in their software to balance speed/protection, and in most cases with speedy internet it chooses the outdated and compromised pptp protocol. (it can be changed to the various protocols manually, but still.) the speed and protection is great. in various cases the internet speed increased. i marked it 4 out of 5 stars, but really i mean it with 4,5 stars. tl;dr: software needs polishing, server speed and security great. definitely recommend it to other people.

i use it most for vpn to stream live tv,and for private . for streaming i give 8 and for private 10. if you want only to stream live tv,you need good smart dns. i dont have smart dns by purevpn.

Installation and setup was straightforward, and everything just works (using Windows 10 Pro). Setup on Xubuntu a bit more challenging but once installed, runs perfectly. Transfer speeds excellent.
I've had one issue that took me awhile to figure out and I will pass it on here. If you have issues getting PureVPN to connect, uninstall the software, reboot and reinstall the software with your PC hardwired to the modem/router. For some reason, my PC stopped connecting in wireless mode. I decided to try reinstalling the software with my PC hardwired to my network and it loaded and worked correctly in all modes. But, I love this program and it's versatility, especially split tunnel mode. Can't say enough good things about PureVPN.
