Fast connection, convenient interface.
The service has always worked well, emails are responded to promptly and the price is good.
Good enough program that I think does the job. Customer service is okay, they don't really respond well enough in my opinion. I've only had a few occasions where my internet speed plummeted significantly. I feel like it's doing its job. I wish there were more guides available so you can set the program up properly.
I've been using this service for some time and i only have to say it is excellent service. No problems with the VPN and always delivers what i was expecting from it. I'll remain a loyal client.
Been using fog a couple of years and never had a problem
The annual price is amazing and you can use a lot of servers around the world with a great speed. The privacy policy is the best of all the options that exists.
I wanted a VPN so I could watch British BBC and ITV digital channels (ie BBC iPlayer). Worked well for a month trial so I took out an annual subscription. A month later the non-dynamic IP address/s was spotted by BBC and I was no longer able to connect to the BBC iPlayer. I contacted the company (PIA) and they basically said hard luck and that I should have complained within the first week of taking out the annual subscription (while I was still able to access the BBC service). So they have my money but I do not have the service I had expected! No refund was offered not even a partial one. Stay clear!!
Easy to setup, you can get it all configured with their detailed documentation. The speeds are great. If, on the rare occasion, I'm experiencing a slow connection I can easily report the speed with a quick message built into the software. No need to instant message or send an email to report the slow down. I can switch between the servers easily. The user interface is simple and straightforward. There are excellent forums and information on the website for any questions. We have been so satifised with PIA that we've paid for it the last 2 years & running. Highly recommend!
Years ago when they weren't such a big company the speeds were great. However, after their new found success, they refuse to upgrade their bandwidth or purchase more servers. So we as customers are reduced to 2-5% of our original speeds. Will be shopping for a new VPN once the time comes to renew. Unless of course Private Internet Access decides to upgrade their servers.
I've been a good customer of PIA for years and when it works, it works. However, I have a desktop that I couldn't reinstall the TAP driver and I contacted support several (a lot) times without resolution. I have left several support tickets and they never, ever respond. Months have now passed with no VPN from PIA. I pay annually, so I'm the one who loses on both ends- no product, no help, no refund. The few times that I got a little upset (and I really did hold my tongue) with their lack of support, they got pissy with me. I've tried several VPN all with as good a product as PIA but not nearly so arrogant and worthless when it comes to support. My latest ticket was Monday this week; it's Thursday and I've heard nothing from them. Even if they resolve it, I decided to go to another service because of the way they've treated me. Bottom line- you will be happy unless something goes wrong...then you're on your own!
