I've been customer for 2 years in a row and I am more than satisfied. I've got it installed in 3 computers and 3 mobile platforms and in my opinion it delivers flawlessly 99% of the times. Good speeds, news servers added oftenly (recently in my home country), and UIs and mobile Apps have been vastly improved since I started as customer. Besides what else can you ask for such low yearly rates? Unconditional thumbs up from me
I am very happy with the service I am getting. Being able to get US content while outside the US has been great. While download/upload speeds can sometimes be an issue, there are several locations with PIA to choose from so if one region is too slow, I just pick another. Generally I have no problems with streaming. I have noticed that there are some sites that can still tell that I'm not in the US but I've learned to deal with it. Customer service is very helpful too. After I got a 2nd computer, they were very quick to help me get the steps down for setting up their VPN on that computer too. All in all, very reasonable service that I'll be using for the foreseeable future.
I have no qualms with PIA, I recommend it to people often. I think it's cool that you accept payment that protects the anonymity of those that wish not to use a standard credit card. Keep on rocking in the free world.
Fast download speeds with utorrent. Great value for your protection. No more letters in the mail:)
MLGGGGGGGGG
First of all they are very cheap compare to other vpn services. The problem I had was the download speed. Sometimes it's very slow. I know that if you use vpn then the download speed would be slow. I would love it if PIA also add smart dns with a small fee which would allow users to bypass geo blocking.
Like a lot of people, I use a VPN in order to use uTorrent without getting into trouble with my ISP. The problem is the download speed is a tiny fraction of what I'm paying for with my ISP -- 75mbps. When I'm connected through that, I can download torrents at lightning speed. When I use Private Internet Access, it's extremely rare if it goes beyond 500 kbps. Usually it's in the range of 100-200 kbps. I've troubleshooted with them, and got it a little better than it used to be, but it's still grossly insufficient. Also, like others have reported, lately I'm finding I'm having difficulty accessing certain websites, because they know it's not my real IP. I've never had to complete so many CAPTCHAs in my life, and an increasing number of sites block me entirely. Finally, I've had trouble sending email when connected to Private Internet Access. I went through numerous emails back and forth with their support department to correct this issue, and was finally told it simply couldn't be resolved. So now I have to disconnect whenever I want to send an email. Also, I have my calendar set up to send me email reminders of upcoming events. This function also doesn't work now, since it requires sending emails. I've missed a few appointments entirely because I never got an email. After writing all of this out, I'm now wondering why on earth I'm paying for Private Internet Access. Poor download speeds, trouble accessing websites, and an unsolvable problem with email. What's the upside?
Thanks for providing a way to browse safely!
Easy to set up and use. Reliable, fast VPN. Good value for money.
I think what I like to most is how fast downloads are. Works every time for me.
