My only reason for having a VPN is to hide my IP address so I can watch European TV mostly BBC and ITV. So I am looking into other options as it seems that PIA cannot provide what I signed up for a couple of years ago.
To be fair, it's very cheap and connection speeds are quite impressive but geo restricted websites don't work and their ips are banned on many internet forums.
Good service, reliable and haven't had any major issues. It would be great if a way could be found to use more secure protocols on phones (Windows Phone) but that seems to be a common theme with all the providers I looked at. Very good value for money.

I've been using four VPN Provider over the years. Private Internet Access is by far the best. On multiple occasions I had some Issues, I always got help. Two examples: - Windows 10 Preview Builds: Online Support referred me to their forum, where I indeed found help to get PIA working - BBC iPlayer access: Online Support helped patiently walking me through troubleshooting and we got it resolved in half an hour I have a 1 GBit/s fiber connection and get 120 MBit/s (15 MByte/s) using their Service, an excellent Speed for VPN (Switzerland)! My local provider had some bad routes that was disturbing Netflix and gaming for me. Private Internet Access solved the problem and I have the added bonus of viewing content from other countries due to the many exit nodes. Excellent service and very affordable!
Have been using the service for three years on yearly subscription basis. Just switch to three year subscription to save more. VPN works smoothly for me all along. It slows down a tiny bit (5% speed or so) comparing to raw connection but that just how it works. Trading a little bit speed off for privacy is well worth it. If you use very slow internet connection, it will be more apparent to you but then you should upgrade your internet plan. I have 1 iMac, 1 Windows laptop, and 2 android (phone + tablet) connected through PIA and all of them work very well. I have been using the service for 3 years now and it has improved over this time and really become a global service. If you want to be invisible or if you want to act as being in a certain country to view content from there, then this service is perfect for that. Fast effective and we'll priced. I would say it is likely the best service amount it's peers.
