I have used PIA fro over a year now and I can only recommend it. Especially if you are looking for a cheap, reliable and trustworthy VPN service PIA is a very good choice. It is a solid service with good Linux support, large collection of servers in many different countries. Oh and the customer support is awesome. I had a few email conversations with their support and they often replied within 30 minutes. Also very friendly and helpful.
Hello everyone, Let me start with a grateful Thanks to the Live support, I was able to learn more about the VPN program, they were patient with me at all time and worked around all my questions and insecurities about the product, even though they couldn't help me with my problem they were kind enough to point me in the right direction which was with Level #1 Technicians to get to the bottom of my installation problem, where at first I was treated great and somewhere in the middle one of the techs seem to have gotten a bit upset with me because I kept asking questions, but in order for me to get any answers I needed to do what they had requested on a previews email! which I completely understand! Anyways I'am not trying to say anything bad because it was my own fault. With that been said I Thank the Team very much and specially to the Level #1 technicians who help me to resolve my problem! Over all I Recommend this VPN to all of my friends and coworkers and those who are interested on protecting their identity against the Government programs and Hackers out there that are trying to eavesdrop on you every time you get on the internet! Thank you and God bless the world!
Fast, stable, very configurable, trough phone too with the phone app, fast and good support instant chat, good reviews in internet, recommended. Until now, after I tried some different VPN services, this is my favorite.
Works as advertised on my Linux computers. One small issue. The drop down menu indicates an update is available, but when I check online, I find none. Updating process could be easier for user.
Like a significant number of users, I use PIA VPN to access BBC Iplayer. The BBC is now blocking access via PIA VPN access points. When this happens with other VPN providers, I understand they take steps to change the IP of their access points, as a workaround. However, although PIA has confirmed that it is aware of the problem, it has stated that PIA is NOT taking any steps for a workaround. Unblock US still works for BBC IPlayer
Exactly what I needed, and for a good price!
I've just started using this. Primary use is to keep myself protected at internet cafe's. Have had an issue with cafes though. I would get dropped from wifi. Would have to disable VPN in order to reconnect to wifi, then re-enable VPN. My download speeds are nice though! Performant service.
I got PIA for two reasons. One: to keep my ISP company from throttling my bandwidth when downloading certain data (by data matching so to speak). Two: to download torrent related data and not be known by the users on the other end. PIA is working perfectly for both reasons and thus I'm happy. I've used it for about a year and I no longer am throttled nor do I get notices from my ISP company anymore. Pros: It is priced reasonably. It works with torrent downloading software. Good tech support. Easy to use. Cons: There are several websites I cannot access using a known VPN. Maybe changing the PIA ip addys from time to time would help. It disconnects unexpectedly. Which means if I am downloading via a torrent that my actual ip addy becomes visible. I wouldn't mind so much if I could have my torrent software disconnect too (not my entire system) and if some how when PIA reconnects that my torrent downloading software could also automatically reconnect. Again, I am very happy with PIA. I even bought a year at once which makes it $3.33 a month.
This service was awesome until recently. I no longer can access Netflix USA from Canada using PIA. It works occasionally, but most of the time, Netflix just says I am using a VPN and refuses to work. So this service is, unfortunately, now useless. I will not renew my service when it expires.
my experience with PIA: - Download speed decreases over 90% (with a low subscription we are talking about (with PIA) up to 100 kbps!) The advice followed and tried all the ports, but does not really matter. - Internet speed is moderate, long wait for pages to load - Many capta's to fill - Email sending with Outlook, almost impossible - Gmail connection with Outlook does no longer work In summary; very safe internet, because nothing does what it should do (Maybe only for people who knows a lot about VPN conditions and technical computer knowledge?)
