It took me less than 5 minutes to sign up and get it installed on my PC. I have really slow internet connection because I live in rural areas, so I won't be able to test this service to its full potential but it works for what I do and it does its job better than expected.
Easy to sign up. Easy to use. No issues.
I am using PIA to secure 2 Windows computers and 3 cell phones, Galaxy s7's (and an Edge). I've only been using it for just over a week, but there is no noticeable slow down and I've never had a dropped connection. Only thing I have to disconnect it for is watching Netflix. Easy, simple.... does what it says. Excellent!
This works great on a home network but interferes with Netflix. Protects browsing while keeping my speeds snappy. Have used another provider for a long time & this service beats the pants off of it! My only gripe other than Netflix is that it takes a minute or so to get connected after a period of inactivity. I could be browsing but not be protected. When I first began using this I thought I was connected and there was something wrong with my equipment! I just had to learn to be patient for a minute after periods of inactivity. Absolutely can not beat this service for the price!
I am using Private Internet Access for over a year with Ubuntu, both on the desktop and headless on a server. It is quick to set up and it works very effectively. Lots of guidance can be found on the internet on how to set it up.
First thing I'd like to mention is that what really caught my attention was its absolute simplicity in use on Mac OSX in comparison to some other softwares I've used (last one being VPN Unlimited) where I everytime I used to change servers, it would make me download a config file, click on it, which would open System Prefs where you'd ok the installation. With PIA, things are es easy as clicking once. The speeds are much more than I could ask from a VPN and it connects and reconnects after connection drop almost seamlessly. A+
I left another VPN over speed and reliability issues and switched to Private Internet Access. After paying for a 1-month trial (with no obligations and no restrictions) I was convinced. Installation is 1-click-easy, and while the app is perfect for entry-level users, it offers advanced options for the more experienced. Speeds are great, and the wide choice of international servers suits me perfectly. On renewing my account 30 days later, I experienced a minor signup glitch and the customer service was prompt and professional — my issue was resolved 2 hrs later and it's been smooth sailing ever since. I'd recommend PIA to anyone. The ONLY reason I'm not rating 5 stars is that I have no experience in testing PIA's (very positive) reputation for protecting user account privacy. While I'm confident my PIA sessions on public networks are encrypted and secure, I've never had need for PIA to protect my account identity/activities from investigation and I can't comment on their diligence in this respect. This in no way diminishes my satisfaction with the service.
I've tried several VPN's on the market but this one is by far the best. The great price and coverage is what brought me back. I would definitely recommend PIA to anyone.
As a 40 year old Canadian gypsy, this service is imperative to my personal security. I run the PIA application on my laptop, gaming desktop, and gaming laptop, whenever there is an chance of a data compromise. The connections are always stable, and after repeated ip-leak, and dns-leak tests, they always pass. This service protects my banking logins, steam logins, and origin logins, as well as mozilla my email client. No more worry or anxiety if people are sniffing or snooping my data, it is a must-have service for people that value security. Great!
I've tried a few VPN providers, which were either slow, cumbersome or pricey or a combination of the above. This one is neither! Also, for specific geo-restrictions this one gives a fair coverage of server locations.
