I have used two other VPN providers over the past 5 years. Even though I have been using Private Internet Access for less than a week, its performance has already surpassed the other providers substantially. It was super easy to install, really no extra set up required. I get privacy protection and as an added bonus, I can access some international websites as well. Very satisfied so far. I would have rated it a 5 but it is early days yet.

Really, PIA is just like the other services when it comes to setup. I use OpenVPN on my DD-WRT router. Nothing special and easy to setup using a selected server. PIA is inexpensive for sure, and my speeds were 45Mbps on a 50Mbps line. Because PIA requires NAT, unlike some other services, my NetTalk VOIP wont work through the tunnel, nor will my DVR system. I had to allow them to use the regular internet and port forward there. With some other companies, I can get a WAN IP address and pay for Firewall support, but that allows me to use my VPN tunnel for access to my internal network. I am limited to one port with PIA. I like having all my internet related traffic encrypted, so PIA was not a good fit for me. I chose another, albeit more expensive, provider with better support choices.

PIA is by far the best VPN service provider out there. I have tried 8 VPN services on trail (free trial or 2 or 3 day pay trial), None of them have been an all around VPN package until PIA. PIA does have it all. There is no false promises in their claims. They do exactly what they say.The cost is very good for the service offered. I would also like to mention the support is the best. A support ticket will not sit in someone's in- basket for weeks. You will get a resolution from support immediately. Thanks PIA for giving your clients the very best.

The app is great! Does what promised. Had one problem and it got fixed with the service e-mails, BUT I would have given 5 stars if there would have been a service chat, it's getting more and more common among other services. I'm in the stock exchange market where every second counts and there's not often time for "blackouts". I got my problem fixed in one hour but that can be too much sometimes...thank you for a great and pricefriendly app! I recommend!

proof of the pudding is in the eating. By using the killswitch you can absolutely prevent leaking of your IP if PIA should fail. My internet wasn't cut off until now so NO outages from PIA. good job!

I had some difficulty, due to my own lack of competence, in setting up initially but the back and forth emails guided me to a successful download and understanding of the process. I'm glad my friend introduced me to such a good service.

As a first time user of a VPN and certainly not an expert, the prospect of setting up was daunting with all those options but I just chose the recommended settings and it just worked! Recommended by a friend. Cheap and effective. Highly recommended
