Overall I feel NordVPN has benefited from unwarranted reviews from technical publications, possibly they are good if using servers in the country of residence, but I required a VPN that would allow me to stream content, initially this was OK, but the servers have been overloaded, and streaming is often not possible. I have been having a dropped service issue which occurs at the same time each day, right at crucial moments of a football games. The time the drop occurs actually changed with daylight savings time. Support has a list of try this or try that which wastes time especially after multiple issues, since NordVPN support only repeats the list, and seem to be unaware that the same suggested solutions were provided on multiple occasions. While the pricing is low, and does supply some assistance, it is degrading do to publication reviews and advertising, reducing server capacity with subscription gains and not adding capacity, sort of local governments adding multiple housing developments with out increasing road capacity until you have a commuting nightmare. I suggest you think twice before subscribing to this service

Terrible. The software they provide does not work well, and "known issues" are not fixed for months. Check out the reviews on the Firefox extension for example. Instead of fixing their software they give you an eternal run around with non solutions, making you reinstall everything on your system, tell you to use a different browser (I don't want to) etc. Will not give me a (partial) refund and cancel the contract. Will never again get a contract here or recommend them to anyone. Stay away.

Selected NordVPN both in terms of quality, but also price. With new updates it just gets better and better. Netflix every where and with KODI perfect. NordVPN runs 24/7 all year round with no problems. When testing my privacy on the internet, I am completely anonymous. My biggest wish is a user-friendly Linux app. I can recommend this VPN 100% to everyone but buy it for 3 years as it is probably the best buy among the VPN products. Got 3 year more for 89 dollars. Can't recognize the negative comments, I have zero problems. 3 Year Subscription · Next payment at Mar 17th, 2024 - then I choose NordVPN again.

89.95 forget it. Why would I ever renew with this worthless and unreliable service plan.  I always have trouble connecting.  Constantly have to put in my user name and password.  Constantly being told to change my password.  Not worth the aggravation.  I could be watching a show or movie but instead I'm trying to get this POS service to work.  Glad my plan ends in May.

Der Dienst funktioniert gut. Der Windows Client ist sehr gut. Der Android Client ist sehr unübersichtlich. Dazu kommt, dass im Android Client nur OpenVPN integriert ist. Eine Option zu IKEv2 wäre mir lieber, da Ressourcen schonender. - Zuerst muss gezahlt werden, dann kann getestet werden (sehr unseriös) -Die Server laufen nicht auf RAM. -Es gibt leider keinen Server in Nürnberg. -Eine detaillierte Serverliste konnte ich nirgends finden. Auslastungen werden nicht angezeigt. Was noch interessant wäre, welche server nun echte server, virtuelle Server sind. Aus diesen Gründen werde ich 30 Tage Geld zurück Garantie in Anspruch nehmen. Die ersten Versuche über den Chat sind gescheitert. Der Chat wurde immer von selbst beendet und ein Mitarbeiter konnte nicht erreicht werden. Ich habe es sehr oft versucht. Ich versuche es nun über den Email Support, leider muss ich nun 24 Stunden warten. Ich hoffe, dass NordVPN zu der Garantie steht. Bisher habe ich keinen guten Eindruck vom Support und der Dienst ist nur so gut wie die Leute die dahinter stehen. Ich werde mich wieder melden und gegebenfalls die Bewertung anpassen, falls sich die sache zum guten wendet. Unfortunately I have never reached a support representative. I have never received anything via chat and email. I will now try again via email. update: The support via email is very nice and the team is behind the money back guarantee. I got the money back very quickly. The service works well. The Windows client is very good. The Android client is very confusing. In addition, only OpenVPN is integrated in the Android client. I would prefer an option to IKEv2, because resources are sparing. - First you have to pay, then you can test (very dubious) -The servers are not running on RAM. -Unfortunately there is no server in Nuremberg. -I couldn't find a detailed server list anywhere. Utilizations are not displayed. What would be interesting, which servers are real servers, virtual servers.

I ordered a subscription via direct debit on the 23rd Dec. I still can't use the service and have received an email saying I will need to wait until 31st December. Order cancelled, there is no reason to wait this long even with a direct debit.

NordVPN works OK. It's reasonably easy to install and set up, but that's about it. Web browsing - not an awful experience, but nothing special about it either. Gaming - my latency randomly increases substantially for a few seconds every minute or two. I just turn it off when I need to since I no longer have much time for online gaming, which is an undesired hassle but not the end of the world. No ability to exclude programs from VPN when it's running. This is a basic feature that nearly all other VPNs offer, but while annoying, not a complete dealbreaker. For me the last straw was the blocked Port Forwarding - NordVPN has made the perplexing decision to specifically block port forwarding. They even have an article on their blogcalled "Port forwarding: what it is and how to set it up". This is a full guide on how to set up port forwarding, but then the last paragraph then says it's not possible. They make no mention of this as one of their features despite saying "This is for increased security". This isn't even like expecting them to include a feature but they haven't. They are actually specfically blocking port forwarding for "security", which has caught me and so many other people out. Clearly they need to do a better job of advising customers of this "feature", or just include it as an advanced option. Like a sucker I fell for their predatory marketing and bought the 3 year subscription and since I'm now outside the 30 day period I can't even get a partial refund. Their support are friendly but clearly don't read emails or actually care about customers. The 30 day money back guarantee is separate to a refund of unused time, but they just say "no sorry it's outside our policy" over and over. What a joke of customer service - even insurance companies offer partial refunds for unused time. 3 year plans are the only reasonable option price-wise, but over that length of time your needs will likely change and the company doesn't care. They have also kept sending emails (which started around 1 month in) to me about further increasing my purchase by yet another 3 years - to save a few months of cost ($10) at that point. Unbelievable that they try to lock you in for so long. I guess NordVPN knows that people would never resubscribe, so they better hold on to that money for dear life. Overall, after having used NordVPN with no unbearable issues for around a year, I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth about this experience. Stay away.

It's a scam. They pretend to have a money back guarantee. You ask for a refund and all they do is "cancel your subscription" as in stop it from renewing in the future. Total scam. Wont refund

I have been using NordVPN for a few months now, and on the whole, I have been very pleased with the connections. I do lose some speed on my MacBook Air, but it's still pretty fast. Same with my iPad NordVPN app. The NordVPN app I have on my BlackBerry Key2, using Android, is very slow, but then again, I do not use the phone for downloading large files. I just notice how slow it is when downloading Android store app updates. It's excruciatingly slow. That aside, I had need to contact NordVPN support the other day for a minor issue: when I manually disconnect using the NordVPN IKE app on my MacBook, it will not reconnect again unless I completely quit out of the app, and then re-launch it. Not a big issue as I said, but I contacted NordVPN to make them aware of a potential issue. I wasn't expecting them to take time to deal with my issue as an individual problem. Yet, they did, and they kept on working at it, despite the fact I told them it's not a big enough issue for me to have them waste their time over it. In the end it was resolved in that I was recommended to use the non-IKE app, which did fix the issue. However, I went back to using the IKE app as I prefer its method of auto-killing on loss of connection. The IKE version completely cuts all connection if the app itself loses connection, whereas the non-IKE version shuts down apps (as nominated by the user) on connection-loss. What impressed me with NordVPN support was that their agent(s) really tried hard to help me, even though I didn't consider it an important issue. Thank you all at NordVPN.

I would like to say that I am satisfied with NordVPN. However, Nord struggles to connect in China. I need to switch to OpenVPN protocol, which connects quickly but automatically disconnects often. If you are looking for a VPN that works in China, you need to get Surfshark, Express, or Astrill.
