I bought a NordVPN subscription for a travel to China after reading this article: nordvpn . com/blog/vpn-for-china/. I was not able to connect to any server while travelling, not even once! Now that I am trying to get a refund for the product that never worked, NordVPN customer support is telling me that: "We shall not be responsible or have any liability for any delay or failure to perform to the extent due to unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, failures of your telecommunication or internet service providers, Force Majeure, earthquakes, fires, floods, embargoes, labor disputes and strikes, riots, war, novelty of product manufacture or other unanticipated product development problems, and acts of civil and military authorities." This is just ridiculous. If your product doesn't work, refund the client and shut up. Or you could also try to make it work properly instead of scamming people. Your product not working in China isn't an act from a "foreign government", a "flood" or a "war". Come on... I really can't believe the answer.

They say that they keep absolutely no logs, but how is it possible to restrict the devices per customer if they dont log?
Ce Vpn est une daube, il a fonctionné 1 jour, puis plus moyen de se connecter et blocage de la connexion qui fonctionne toujours très bien! Après avoir passé une heure avec les " conseillers de VPN, tout çà en anglais, ils ne m'ont apporté aucune solution à mon problème, du coup j'ai changé de fournisseurs pour CyberGhost7 qui lui fonctionne parfaitement! Totalement insatisfait de NordVPN, et de la soi disant aide apportée par cette boite !! A fuir !!
Not too bad of a vpn provider. NordVPN has great security parameters and fast servers however, the customer support is quite bad and needs some attention instead of there main focus that being marketing which is very suspicious for a company who is supposed to be keeping you secure online. All round not the worst.
I have been happily using NordVPN for several years. Their technical performance and overall service continue to meet my expectations as a customer. One small gripe, new customers are offered better subscription deals than loyal existing customers that renew their subscription. This is a fact because when I recently renewed I created a new account and instantly was presented with a more favourable deal.
Payed for the service to try it out. Did not like the speeds and difference in QoS of many servers and found that many sites no longer worked while connected via the vpn. Their "Cybersec" service is also average. Attempted to request a refund after a couple of days. Discussed 2 or 3 times with customer support about it, always denied. They told me my payment method did not allow for refunds and would not even consider using any other kind of service to return me my money back. Curiously, I also registered with Surfshark using the same _exact payment mehod_ and also had to refund Surfshark. However, Surfshark were fantastic and immediately, no questions asked, refunded me via Paypal alternative. How is that? Do try them, but MAKE SURE you are using a payment method that allows for refund, maybe even talk with them BEFORE paying anything. I do give lowest score because I really loathe companies that think about them more than customers. Which is clearly the case. Update after reply: do you mean that now there is an alternative refund procedure? I had insisted during the chat to use anything else that could be possible, including paypal / credit card. why wasn't it there before? considering the amount of negative reviews regarding refunds, this seems like an endemic problem of yours that you should look into seriously. regardless, i have since "re-sold" my account to someone else, i'm no longer a customer of yours. Update 2: see... that is exactly the problem. I used the exact same method to pay for Surfshark, the one "that doesn't support refunds". For them it was not a problem at all, they found a way to send me the money back via Paypal and they did, on their own suggestion! You (NordVPN), on the other hand, were not willing to try an alternative and shielded yourself on that defense to withhold the money. That is the KEY difference in customer support. Go see how many stars they have in Trustpilot...
I downloaded the 7 day free version from app store to try it out. Without my knowledge and without proper warning they charged me for an expensive yearly subscribtion directly after the seven days. The information about this is very vague. I have never experienced this method from another company. Do not make the same mistake I did and stay away from this app!
Terrible customer service. Charged twice by mistake, which you would think they would be willing to refund me for, however after two complaints sent to them (you have to refill in the complaint form each time!) they have not responded after two months. It may be a secure VPN service but I personally could not recommend it! EDIT: The response to my review from NordVPN: "Hello Rich. Apologies for any inconveniences that you've encountered. However, as we can see per your provided reference number, you've never reached our customers' support team. Hence, please drop a line to our team at support.nordvpn.com regarding instant assistance on the matter. Thank you!" The complaint form I have already filled in, so this is an issue with your site that should be fixed for all future customers who have issues. If the form that is recommended on your site does not work why is it featured on the page - two times I filled it in and you have highlighted that the form did not work either time.
Be very wary of accepting a seven-day free trial with this company. I tried to cancel mine before the trial expired but found myself locked into a £81.99 annual subscription fee which neither Apple or NordVPN are willing to refund - each claimng that the other are responsible. Their customer services fend you off with glib blandishments but the bottom line is that once you've given them your money you have little chance of getting it back.
