Our experience with another VPN service was a bit patchy. It worked but needed to be re-intalled often on a Windows 7 machine so we gave up. Came across a review of VPN services and decided to give Surfshark a try. Not sure about the name but the installation was very easy and it just works. Using it every day to see current shows in Australia and America. No delays and very stable. Updates are not intrusive.and it does not nag you. This is why I would recommend it to anyone interested in a VPN service.

I have used other VPNs in the past, but subscribed to Surfshark because it had a great promotional deal. But unfortunately, Surfshark really slows down my internet connection. I live in the Houston area and subscribe to AT&T U-Verse for both Internet and TV. I subscribe to 1 Gbps (1,000 Mbps) service. Using speedtest.net on Chrome without Surfshark, I typically get speeds of 925 down and 887 up. But when I turn on Surfshark and connect to a Houston server, speedtest.net reports that my speed is 54 down and 43 up. I have run these same tests numerous times, and with Surfshark my connection speeds are reduced to about 6% of my non-Surfshark speeds. I've always lost speed with VPNs, but never anything this bad.

Very honestly, I purchased full 2 years membership believing that Surfshark's CLAIMS that its VPN service permits customers to receive the U.S.A. version of NETFLIX from outside the U.S.A. were accurate. In fact, several months later, I still CANNOT view NETFLIX using wifi via my TV with Surfshark. I have tried and tried even within the first 7 and 30 days period to get your CUSTOMER SUPPORT to resolve this problem. They FAILED and I was back and forth with them. I sent them screenshots and plenty of E-Mail. The last suggestion you offered was that I could try to change the settings within my ISP's ROUTER/MODEM but it is a HITRON and it does NOT work--as your company well knows. I am very computer literate so, it is NOT ME. I explained I only bought the service to receive U.S. NETFLIX and since your company could NOT resolve the problem and was clearly making what can only be regarded as FALSE ADVERTISING CLAIMS, I would appreciate the refund within those first 7 and then 30 days. This request was totally ignored and never addressed! I will NOT renew OR recommend your company to a soul much as I would have loved to. The bottom line is: BUYER BEWARE FOLKS: With Surfshark, you CAN view Netflix U.S. on your PC, on your TAB be it iPad or Android tabs, but you CANNOT view Netflix on your TV -- PERIOD, FULL STOP! If by some miracle the Surfshark can resolve this for me and make good on its claims, I WILL gladly amend this but, to date, Surfshark has (1) taken my monies happily and (2) NOT DELIVERED the service it so boldly boasts about. I am going to have to turn to the only 1 or 2 bigger companies, Express VPN and or Nord to actually RECEIVE Netflix U.S.A. Their claims ARE FACTUAL as 2 of my friends are their customers and are quite happy. I wish I did not have to pay more but it appears that, once again, the old adage: "You get what you pay for" appears to be spot on in the case of Surfshark! Surfshark has left me high and dry. I remain stuck watching only the Canadian Netflix content and with a VPN service that is utterly useless for the past 3+ months. I am exceedingly disappointed and entirely dissatisfied! BUYER BEWARE if you are considering Surfshark!!!!!!!!!! Go to Express VPN or Nord and pay a little more for a service that actually delivers what it promises--UNLIKE SURFSHARK!

The speeds are great and the protocols are great. Improvements I can see is to bring Wireguard into it, and a server in Taipei. If those two things are met, this will be my only VPN, as it hits the price point very well.

Surfshark is the best VPN I've ever used. It has proven to me after about a year of using it, thatI can rely on this VPN to ensure my privacy while on the internet. Most of the VPNs I previously used, would constantly stop running, and always at the worse time. What surprises me even more than it's reliability, is the great price I paid. I've paid 3-4 times more, for a VPN that isn't half as good as Surfshark. I almost forgot to mentionn how incredibly fast Surfshark is, probably because my download speeds are virtually the same. I checked the other day, and was getting well over 100 mbps download speeds, with Surfshark running. I don't hardly ever leave reviews, but I honestly wanted to show my appreciation, for a service that brings me so much peace of mind. Thank you Surfshark.

Surfshark in my opinion a pile of crap, expensive and difficult to use and a total waste of hard earned money.
