Its been a great service at a fantastic cost. I have it enabled on my iPhone, Mac, house router, and friends computer. The ability to run up to five concurrent clients is great and selecting different locations is perfect. Installing the apps or clients work pretty well but integrating the connection via an L2TP setup is much more reliable and functioning. Highly recommend going that route, won't regret it.

I've been a customer for two years and my connections have always been reliable and fast. The recent work done to create more accessible apps has made it easier for the rest of my family to get into the habit of connecting more safely. Customer support has been great, and I have had no reason to doubt the anonymity of the service. The recent challenges come not from PIA but from others. The increasing tendency to configure open wifis to block VPNs and of streaming services to do the same is reducing the value of the service.

I've been using PIA for more than a year. Typically, the service is fine, but I have had occasional problems. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, the VPN will disconnect on its own, even though I've set it to use one particular server. Also, at times the connection slows to a crawl and sometimes effectively stops even though I'm connected to what is supposedly the fastest PIA sites. When operating normally, speedtests show my download speed at about 60Mbps. (Without VPN I run at 170Mbps.) But when it slows down, my download speed can drop to below 1Mbps with upload speeds of 1Kbps. It seems that some sites get overloaded at certain times, like Friday nights. Switching to a different site usually helps. Overall, the service is acceptable. But the occasional problems can be really irritating.
