It's so slow, it's a joke. The Kill Switch doesn't work so when the VPN connection crashes (which unfortunately isn't a rare occurrence) your connection is totally exposed. The SOCKS5 option is absolutely useless and by the own admission no less. These people are totally shameless. Meanwhile they're grabbing people's money and offering what I'm forced to conclude, is a completely deficient and useless service. John
I couldn't install on my PC but it worked on my iPad. But the biggest issue is it doesn't allow me access US Netflix and they are not willing to help with Geo content access at all. There was no trial period. So I had to sign up a month just to try out. I'm canceling after a month and move on to another provider who is very willing to help with Netflix access.
I use it to safely use the internet. I don't know if someone can look me up by my ip, but the site says no and i believe that. In the summer i am going to try it in another coutry to see if i can use it over there. I haven't f7gured out how it works with a router. In the next weeks I hope to find out how that works. I am going to contact support for that.
Seems to work flawlessly, both on Mac OS X and with the Android app. Provides everything it claims it does. Great service indeed. Just one suggestion/request: would be nice if you could see the actual live connection details in the OS X version somewhere (e.g. mouseover on task bar icon or smth), as is the case in the Android app...
Won't stay on; Flickers on & off, won't connect automatically, won't connect on logon and won't stay connected. Doesn't seem to mask IP properly even when on.
I love the VPN provided for by PIA. It is a very easy to use tool and it is the cheapest tool compared to other VPN's. The speeds are most of the time pretty good!
The key thing here is that PIA just works, I have a 4 systems running all on different versions of OS and configurations and it all just loads and runs without an issue. There is a noticeable decrease in speed as with all VPN (my ISP throttles VPN access) but it is still very usable. I have researched (and used) a number of VPN providers, PIA is definitely the pick of the bunch.
I chose PIA on the recommendation of several friends and I haven't been diappointed. In fact, PIA has surpassed my expectations. It feels good to know that my browser is now completely secure.
I started several years ago with PIA and never ever got less than 30MB speed on a 100MB Provider Line. I'm an IT Professional with a strong network background and my network is all Gigabit. I've tested everything they told me to test to the 9999's and nothing improves. I've even just tested on a brand new Dell XPS 9550 maxed out! Tested both in and out of my network and Nothing helps. All they do is tell you to try this and try that and un-install and re-install and I still get 2mb to 6mb max where I use to always get 25-30MB which was acceptable. I'm really upset that the service sucks now because I use to love PIA and sent them allot of business from friends. Not I tell everyone that complains to look elsewhere. I'm going to start posting everywhere if PIA doesnt reach out to me and finally solve this. Gary - CISSP and Network Professional
Apart from a broken OpenVPN implementation, which is worked around using the PIA Linux Beta Client, it works simply and flawlessly. One important note - you could make the client easier to find. I had to contact support to be informed of it.
