I struggled with buying a VPN service. I wanted something that would work flawlessly and still provide high internet speeds and I didn't want to get ripped off. After much research, I decided to take a shot with PIA and I'm glad I did. Honestly? It has exceeded my expectations. It is extrememly easy to use, and as I wanted, in the one week I have used it, it has worked flawlessly. To protect myself, I only ordered a one month service but am about to sign up for a full year subscription.

The service is real good most of the time (about 90%), however sometimes I do get some problems logging into my bank for stock trading. I get a lag sometimes and that's not good when doing day trading. However I'm not sure if that isn't something on my bank's end. Once I disconnect the site works as normal. Besides that, it's working seamlessly so far. Also one of the few services that allows more than 2 devices at a time.

So far so good! PIA was super easy to install on all my devices and the interface is very user friendly. Works great in the US, but I will have to withhold final judgment until I try to use it in Japan to watch US TV.

Bought it; worked fine. Great! But by the end of the first week, had experienced problems that went away when I turned the service off (e.g. emails not sending). If this were "fire and forget" it would be great! And when that is my experience, it is indeed great. But when the computer simply stops working for no obvious reason, that's a lot of pain. I assume these issues are unreported connection issues, but could be the VPN endpoints being blacklisted by other sites -- no idea really. If I discover some way of diagnosing and ameliorating these issues, then I'll upgrade this rating.

Prior to signing up PIA, I was using another VPN company which I always have problem connecting to the internet while outside using public wifi. I have just signed up with PIA and have been using for a couple of days. Since using PIA, I have lesser problem connecting to the internet but still encounter the occasional dropped connection. Like many reviews on PIA, I wish PIA has more options to select (eg encryption levels) for mobile devices because I just want to ensure I get the maximum protection while using the internet. I'm currently using iPhone and iPad and there aren't many options in the PIA app. The other thing I want to compliment PIA is their technical support. I have been asking many questions via email and they have patiently addressed them. My only wish is that they have a Live Chat so that I can get the answers immediately. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with PIA considering the price and I have also recommended the service to my friends.

Basically, PIA used to be an amazing service that made my internet browsing experience significantly better, and a little more private. As the service got more popular though, more people began using their IP addresses for illegal activity or trolling on popular forums. As a result of this, I can't browse most of my main forums or 4chan with PIA, because almost every single IP address has been banned for one reason or another on many of the websites I use. To top it off, PIA now no longer works on Netflix. My ISP violates Net Neutrality by throttling streaming traffic, and I used PIA to watch Netflix at my full internet speed. PIA still has no workaround for watching Netflix while masking my traffic from my ISP. I just resubscribed my service for another year, but I am already considering just getting refund and looking for a new VPN provider, even if I do end up having to pay twice the price. I'm sorry PIA, your service is still top notch, but a few rotten potatoes have spoiled your entire batch of IP addresses. Honestly, this would be a service worthy of a five star rating, but I could never recommend a service to friends or family that is being undermined by things that are outside of your control.

I signed up for 12 months and have had no problems whatsoever. Needed help for initial set up and got great service from live chat. Would be nice to be able to renew your account if you want to continue. I had to set up a new account and am probably running 2 accounts for the last days of my original account - no big deal though. Thanks to all for a professional, efficient service
