Lackluster performance when it works, sub-par tech support and unethical business behavior Initially I had a 2 year subscription and results were poor: - It never worked well on my second computer (Windows 10, latest updates etc.): once connected to one of their servers internet connection went down … and could only be restored by turning off Nord. In spite of several attempts (early during my subscription, after that I gave up) with tech support it never got solved. Their tech support did not come across as very knowledgeable, had me try all kinds of things that sounded shaky but I tried and it all failed. While you are supposed to have the latest operating system and updates and patches (if not they blame you) their suggestions included using older versions of their software … which also didn’t work, - Nord didn’t work smoothly on one of our other devices – it would regularly freeze all operations after which the device would need to be turned off and on again, - When and where it worked Nord severely slowed down my internet connection (and I tried MANY servers). Some connections managed to get my 200 Mbs down to 2 Mbs. During my two years of subscription I used free VPN services on the one device Nord completely failed on and all these free VPNs worked w/o problems and were faster. I therefore decided not to renew – I thought. After the 2 year term had run out I tested signing in and was unable to do so I was convinced the service (if you can call it that) had stopped. I then detected they had taken money from my credit card. When I challenged the charge, indeed for “renewal” I was told, they first answered they would terminate the renewal but then backtracked and stated “unfortunately the 30 day term has passed and we are unable to make partial refunds of the service.” Of course they can, they are just unwilling. I challenged again and told them I couldn’t even sign in so what kind of renewal is that, and completely tone-deaf they suggested I reset my password and can they know what computer I use, what operating system, where do I live, which is my internet service provider etc. etc. so they can provide “excellent service”. Yeah, sure. I took another service which I can highly recommend: Express VPN. Not saying there are no other good ones (even free ones) but this one I selected and have been using for a while now. See reviews on this site – that’s a whole different story! Zero problems, fast and works on all devices irrespective of operating system etc. Cannot tell you about their tech support because I never needed them.
Their VPN did not allow me to stream UK tv programes as promised. I tried contacting their tech support but the "support" was perfunctory at best. The recommendations they made just did not work and weren’t particularly clear. They do not even acknowledge, let alone respond to emails for assistance or requesting a refund of my cc payment.
it worked for a year and now can not watch bbc or itv i did all the testing they suggested for ip and dns leak and no leak checked ip and it was not my routers i emptied my hx and cache ect and restarted computer and no joy i installed a different browser and went in stealth mode as apparently there is something in most browsers that can be tracked despite vpn i updated to ikev2 no joy spent hours at this no luck changed from ike to open vpn no luck does not matter what uk server i use-tried their preferred after chat-no joy so luckily my visa is being replaced so i will not renew when it runs out in 2 years-what a waste of money

I originally chose NordVPN as it seemed popular and I assumed it would be reliable. I have a direct debit set up to renew my subscription every month. Every time my subscription renews there is a gap in service. For example this month my subscription ran out on the 12th but my direct debit will not be collected until the 16th. Not a major issue but the whole point of setting up a direct debit is to have a continuous service. When contacting the customer service team (who are generally helpful) the only solution I have been given is to send a copy of a bank statement, no thanks. Not impressed.
Very poor customer service. No way to contact via phone. Chat system people cannot address all issues. My email (charter.net) refuses all connections when VPN is running, and Nord can't seem to fix. No easy way to request a refund.
En dårlig oplevelse på den måde at jeg mistede 2/3 dele af min bredbåndshatighed. Selv med teknisk support i ca 1 time og 30 minutter kunne det ikke afhjælpes. Fin support men dårlig dækning, nu afventer jeg blot at få mine penge retur. Servicen kan der ikke klages på. Men produktet er ikke meget værd.
Интернет постоянно падает. Без всяких видимых причин. Просто отсутствует интернет. Может пропасть на 10 минут, может на час. Даже если отключить приложение приложение мешает подключению без впн
I have lived and worked in China on a number of occasions and have tried various vpn providers. Just before returning to China recently I thought I'd try Nord vpn as many reviews seemed favourable. WRONG choice!! I have been back in China for a month now and it has NEVER worked. To add insult to injury, this is the astonishing reply I received from their customer service team when I complained: "At the moment we do not have any servers that would be accessible in China and we have no ETA for the new releases. Our team is working on a new, innovative solution, which has never been tested in the industry, however, the development and implementation will take some time." Are they joking?! Clients of Nord should be offered a full refund for this appalling product which falsely advertises its service in China. Please don't waste your money as I did!
Min email er blevet misbrugt i forsøget på at oprette en konto hos deres services. Om der er tale om en fejl eller et bevidst forsøg på snyd er mig ligegyldigt. Hvad der til gængæld er en gyldig kritik er at Destiny fra deres online chat-support fortæller mig at hun/han/den kan se at det er en apple enhed der har forsøgt sig. Jeg fortæller at jeg ikke ejer nogle apple produkter og at jeg ønsker min email bliver fjernet. Hun fortæller mig at så skal jeg kontakte apple ? ? ? ? ? Og giver mig et ødelagt link til apple oven i.
