Avoid if you're living in China. Express barely worked the entire year I was working in China. The last 3 months especially, I was using free VPN's as Express wouldn't connect on my phone at all, and was very hit or miss on my computer. The free VPN's were much more reliable. I really regret paying upfront.

I was recently asked to complete a satisfaction survey. Reproduced below are the comments I left to accompany my rating. These sum up all the problems we have been having and why we are far from happy with the service we are paying for. “SATISFACTION SURVEY COMMENTS For many reasons: a) Time taken to reply to emails is too long; b) The agents do not accurately take into account the details of the situation so suggest remedies which are inappropriate or ineffective; c) The agents seem to accept that it is perfectly OK for users to have problems with the service, despite the service being exceedingly expensive; d) The issue of being able to access iPlayer on some locations continues. e) The number of U.K. locations on which I can access iPlayer not only varies, but is inconsistent, in that sometimes a location is OK and other times it isn’t; f) Similarly, connection ability varies: sometimes some U.K. locations will connect up quickly, at other times they won’t connect at all; g) The VPN keeps dropping out, taking the internet connection with it, thus interrupting the internet connection which is irritating and tedious in the extreme. This happens on all UK locations; h) The VPN prevents some websites from loading. It also prevents some pages of websites loading. This is inconsistent. As soon as I turn off the VPN, the website and/or page loads quickly; i) My husband, despite changing his email password regularly, has just had his emails hacked. Surely this should not happen when a VPN is active? j) The agents ask questions, to which I have already given the answer, for example, do the same problems occur on Windows computers, as on the iPad - I have already explained this!! I should not be experiencing any of these problems. I certainly should not be stuck with them for so long. Agents should be able to understand the problem and give realistic solutions to them. In summary, I am not getting the service I was promised and am paying for.” The response I received related only to the iPlayer issue and ended: “If you have other concerns, we'll address them one by one.“ At this point I gave up!! POSTSCRIPT I notice I have the standard reply from EVPN!! Quite frankly I don’t know if I can stand the stress of trying again. They failed to respond to these points fully in March and during the preceding months, now, just because I have posted this review, they suddenly decide they need to look as though they are being helpful! Besides, they should not have missed any troubleshooting over those months, and, indeed, if there is nothing else they can try, it rather proves what poor value for money this is.
