Sent a request to zenmate support. On the next day got the email "Thank you for the positive feedback.". Seems that "I" positively rated their support, but I didn't even get a reply from them. Nice one. Ticket ID: #218372 And I can't even check it out, because you can't sign in to their support - application error. And this error consistent for almost 2 weeks already. But clock is ticking, so as my "30 DAYS MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE".

I have been using ZenMate free for about 5 years now. One of those years I did buy premium on one of their offers, which was pretty useful - until when I went to renew they said the offer was only for 1 year and not recurring. Fair enough I guess, I just went back to free - they effectively lost a customer for a few years. Today I saw their Black Friday deal for 3 years at just under 2 euros a month - signed right up for that! This time it shows that it's the same price every 3 years, so I will absolutely be sticking with that (I'll update this review after 3 years if it turns out the price does not remain). I've always liked ZenMate compared to other VPNs because these guys are not always 'in your face' or trying to get you to buy their service through YouTube sponsors or ads. My only problem with them is their customer support - it took me a good 30 minutes just to get the representative to understand my issue (and I was very clear that I was not trying to run a server through the VPN, but rather access certain ports through the VPN, such as FTP, MySQL etc). They claimed the ports were closed yet I was still able to access the servers through said ports except one (Remote Desktop). The speeds are great, and a nice amount of locations, even ones specialized for streaming or downloading, or just simply browsing. Many different ISPs available and a really simple interface. I just really wish the support would improve because everyone is saying that using a VPN is good for protecting all your traffic - but not when you can't access specific ports through said traffic. Will update this review if I get anywhere with their support, but currently it is staying at 3 until I know I can use my VPN for -everything- as all VPNs intend.
