I have been using SurfShark now for the past 6 months and it has been a flawless service I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a new VPN service only downside is there is no updated linux client but other than best choice I have ever made.
Any questions or concerns, were answered and warmly welcomed by customer service. Eliza and Edd were great!
After a month with Surfshark I can't be more satisfied with the service. It works really well on both Mac and IOs. Good update of the application for IOs. Great price with a 24 month subscription.
Be aware that Nord, ExpressVPN and all the other “top vpns” pay sites to rate them hence why this provider seems less mainstream at this time which on the face of it seems impressive in that they are not following the practice of buying reviews. I am on a free trial of this and so far I am impressed and will pull the trigger on a full subscription if Surfshark could answer the following which no one to date has been able to tie them down to: 1. Who are the backers of Surfshark and where are they actually based. Given the recent information that Expressvpn who say that they are based in the BVI have been found to be Hong Kong based I would like confirmation from Surfshark. 2. The rumour that you are a subsidiary of ExpressVPN seems hard to shake, especially since no one (even on the DW) says that they work for you. So either you are Uber proficient at keeping your business practices from leaking or you are part of another provider as is being said there, obviously the way to refute this is to say who your backers are. I hope we can rely on what they say as taking back privacy online is key, but until we know who they really are it’s hard to fully trust them. Edit: I have to say what a touch of class the below response is from Surfshark and makes a refreshing change from my other providers over the last 5 years, both on Windows and IOS. As such I have updated my review as since writing this the IOS app has also been updated so that you can choose your protocols (x2: OpenVPN UDP or TCP) when static and IKEv2 when mobile (and only when mobile as it’s not guaranteed to be as secure as it is a closed code developed by Cisco and Microsoft) as this is more stable when switching between phone masts when signal could be lost. In essence having spent many hours researching on-line as it was time to change provider including the excellent overview site “the one privacy site” on IOS there is no better more comprehensive VPN that I have found for privacy. For those looking for a VPN by all means do your own research but I am truly impressed with Surfshark which is both fast with no DNS leaks etc.

You don't really contact customer support for a VPN provider like everyday, but when you do - you expect the issues to be acknowledged and addressed in a reasonable amount of time. After a recent upgrade of the Windows App for surfshark, the process started crashing right away after launch, an uninstall and reinstall also didn't help. One ping to customer support on chat, Edd responded from surfshark - he understood the problem and suggested a solution which worked - all of this completed in under 2 minutes flat. Now I'm technically quite adept and was able to explain the precise problem and exactly follow the solution as well - but 2 minutes is just way too good to believe. Keep up the good work. And once again, thanks Edd (Surfshark)
does what it claims, support is fast and helpful. at the start was a bit confusing once their support staff Anna guided me to their app.
Every excellent, better than NordVPN, but has some shortcomings, in comparison with ExpressVPN. On the one hand, Surfshark doesn't have OpenVPN protocol, it's very unfriendly to Mac and IOS users. Second, the speed of Surfshark is unsteady sometimes. Fortunately, Surfshark has a firm privacy policy, it can make sure my information would not be tracked by some big technology companies.
Excellent service! Faster than any other VPN I have used. Customer support is brilliant. Highly Recommend
Just had a chat with Jeff regarding installation. Excellent help and result.
