Got the best possible support in my life! Very proffessional team trying to solve any possible poblems. I hope nobody will get traubles with surfshark, but if so am 100% sure that their team will do everything to help to get the desired results!
the desktop app is jumpy and buggy so id recommend using it via USB, the mobile app is solid however zero issues there, prices are good, overall id say solid 7/10 the software needs improvements, the real area this shines is the support, i wanted to stop my subscription for renewing, all i needed to do was log in, open a live chat and tell them to stop it and give my email and boom done, so easy, no emails, no long process, no calling up just all done in 30 seconds flat. update: desktop app still sucks, still won't connect, updated, reinstalled on 3 drives and a USB, seriously the service is good WHEN IT WORKS, but I can't recommend this is if you want to use it via desktop as the software is just really bad from my time.
The chat live opens 24/7 n that helped me with connecting problems a lot! appreciated for the help services and ur patience. Fantastic app works well and awesome streaming speed in china mainland.?☺
Excellent VPN so far, passed all the tests I’ve ran it through. Fantastic price on the 3 year plan with 85% off which I absolutely had to snap up. Speeds seem good! I usually get 55mb and when connected to the VPN is drops to 48mb which isn’t bad at all! Had an issue at sign up with my payment but customer service was brilliant and very quick to respond. All in all I expect SurfShark to be breaking the top 3 of best VPN’s in the world in the not so distant future, which is remarkable considering they only formed last year. Whether there cheap pricing stays the same as they get more custom remains to be seen.
The customer service is absolutely fantastic: technically knowledgeable, and quick to respond. For that I would happily give six stars. Otherwise I haven't been quite as happy as I wanted to be: 1) I haven't gotten the SurfShark client (on a Mac) to a state where it would be always on by itself. I've also observed some clipping in connections from home, which haven't been there when I switch the VPN off. For these reasons I've deactivated the kill switch and mostly don't use VPN from home, which means I have to separately remember to switch it on when I'm in an insecure network. 2) On an Android phone I was unhappy because my previous VPN was taking 13% of the battery. SurfShark is slurping 23%, so not much improvement there. And also on Android the client and VPN connection sometimes switch off or vanish, so again the user experience is not as transparent as I would like it to be. Most of the time I just forget to put the VPN back on. The funny thing is that the TunnelBlick open source client, which I was instructed to install on an older Mac, has been far more reliable and transparent than SurfShark's own. I'm considering to move to that altogether. I'll keep observing and will be happy to update my review, if the situation improves.
So far, after three weeks, I am very happy with Surfshark. Since they had a money back guarantee I decided to try it (after reading that they actually pay back the money, even if it takes some time for some) Surfshark servers here in Sweden are fast. It is stable and so far I have been able to watch BBC iPlayer nicely, it is a must for me as an anglophile :P (dont care much for US Netflix anymore, not much interesting to see there nowadays) [edit 2019-09-13] Great to hear about Sky Go! I have now used Surfshark for 3 months and are very happy with it. I have contacted support a couple of times and got quick and relevant answers that helped me understand where I did wrong.
Ease of installing via terminal Hi everyone at Surfshark. Can I just say what a massive pleasure is it being able to install your software via the terminal on linux mint 19.1, your instructions ARE VERY INTUITIVE and stress free - its very refreshing to see such instruction being given so clearly. Many thanks, may you keep it up!! - :-) Tobyb - 2E0TGE
Despite the claims ..... this just doesn’t work. Wanting to stream Foxtel Go (Australia) to a location in New Zealand. Access is blocked. 2 hours wasted time 10 minutes on online helpline only to be told that the blockage of Foxtel streaming is a known issue with Surfshark. Other VPNs allow access. Go figure. I’m not wanting to assassinate a business, l just expect appropriate service and functionality. When that doesn’t happen with a highly ranked VPN provider it’s really disappointing. DON’T GO HERE
Poor service, barely works. Poor customer service too.
I'm a new Surfshark user and so far I've been extremely impressed by its speed, connection reliability (no DNS leaks), and ease of use both on Android, and MacOS. I absolutely love the Whitelister and CleanWeb features. I work quite often from cafes and trains on public wifi hotspots and this gives me a lot more confidence that my connection is secure. I've signed up for the 25-month plan which at £44 is a steal compared to similar services on the market. Thanks, team! ?
