I purchased Surfshark a couple months ago, and just over 30 days ago they were promoting some new features... Hacklock & Blindsearch. I purchased the two year subscription for these features. When I tried to enter my primary email address in the Hacklock feature, I was unable to receive the verification email required to monitor it. I tried many times, and finally contacted their customer service via chat. I was told they didn't know why I could not receive their verification email, but they would check into it and let me know. For a MONTH I waited to hear something, during this time my email was listed as "pending", so I thought they were working on it. After waiting a month, and not hearing from them, I deleted my email address and tried to enter it again. Same results. Now, mind you, I have had this email address for over 25 years, and have never had problems with it. So, I contacted customer service again, via chat. I was told there must be a bug and they would work on fixing it. When I requested a refund for a feature I could not use, I was told since it had been over 30 days I could not get a refund. If they had not told me they would get back to me, I would not have waited. I paid for a two year subscription that;s useless and I can't use. I think this company rushes to put out software that doesn't always work, but once they get your money, they just don't care.

In the last 10 years I have been hacked 1 time. I decided to get a VPN after putting all of my business data on my home computer. BAD idea! SInce getting SurfShark 2 weeks ago I have been hacked 3 times. Not sure what may have been compromised but I can tell you my emails for sure have been stolen. Enough data was gathered to very convincingly assume someone else identity. Lucky for me the person to whose identity was stolen happened to call me in the middle of a transaction that could have been really bad had it gone through. I though perhaps at first this was all coincidence but after the 3rd breach... no thank you.

Really like Surfshark. It allows me to watch geoblocked content online, and has a ton of different countries to choose from.
