NordVPN is installed on all my Apple products, and I have few complaints. Amazon and one of my banks didn't work thru Nord until they helped me find particular servers which didn't block traffic. They're always very responsive to my queries. My biggest question: how do I know that the VPN is actually working, as it's all transparent to me.
I had a monthly subscription on Nord VPN and 12 days later, it told me that it was time to pay your subscription, it not been a month yet so I reached out to customer support and told them I had a monthly subscription and been 12 says and told me it's time to pay your subscription, they took FOREVER to respond, they finally respond telling me that they could not do anything about it or not giving me a full refund because of their policy, They need to in prove customer support.
Very good company!! Good and many servers to choose from. Have it for two years now, sure to take another 2 or 3 year plan!
Nord has seemed good so far, but I limit my use to public wifi / wifi away from home. I don't seem to get a slowdown on my device, so I will continue to use them. My experience has been a little tainted with them, due to the fact that I purchased the VPN through an online cashback retailer. It seems that they offer the service through retailers like this, but the relationship between the 2 parties isn't always as straight forward as you'd expect & the cashback seems to take a lot longer than it should to reach the consumer. Had I known this I would have opted for a cheaper VPN which was recommended by colleagues at work & was for a longer term. It's a pity that I have been left feeling like this, but consumers shouldn't be incentivised to buy your product, if the incentive isn't going to be passed to them within the timeframe they are told (It is now over 9 weeks late). I would have thought that there'd be a trading standards issue there, but no doubt a loophole exists, which is why this type of marketing facility has been used. ---------- Update - I have downgraded my rating, due to the fact that the cashback merchant that this was purchased through has confirmed that the delay on the cashback is due to NordVPN. I feel as though I have been conned or at least the offer has been misrepresented by both companies!
Wasn't expecting much from Nord VPN, I was concerned that it would reduce my internet speed, but everything has been fine so far. I wish the monthly price was a bit lower, but it is a good service.
I had a two year subscription. Recently, I noticed they renew my subscription which I didn't plan to extend and I'm pretty sure I turn off the recurring subscription. Somehow, it happens. So I contacted the NordVPN customer support, and ask them nicely for the refund, also explained to them that I didn't use their service during the subscription period except the day that I noticed this. Well, they won't refund because it was over 30 days. By the way, they didn't sent me any email about this renewal. Also on their website account page, you can't find the payment details that they save for you. Make sure turn off the recurring subscription if you are not plan to extend and double check it on the expired date. I also contacted the NordVPN customer support to delete my NordVPN account as I have no intention to use their service after this. Update: Lol, this reply. What is your point? Your customer support team already told me they wouldn't give me a partial refund because it was over 30 days. Why you mention this again and act like you will refund me if I didn't delete my account. Don't you backup your database? Forgot to mention, enjoying the free money.
I have been using NordVPN for almost a year and I have found it to be good. It is simple to use and while it has made somethings slower, I have not found it problematic. I had some questions before I purchased NordVPN, and I used the live chat on their website. I found them helpful and quick to respond with a comprehensive answer.
Nordvpn support has been very good, but the problems with download speed is awful. My download speeds are in single figures, left to their software I get 3 to 6 Mbps, turn nord off, my speed goes to 150 to 200 Mbps. Best I can get searching through servers is 30 to 40 Mbps, but at times this drops to single numbers. For general Internet use its OK, but trying to watch a film etc, at times is impossible. have been testing other vpns and getting good speed. That why 2 stars. Update for Nord. I have been following your support suggestions across 4 different pieces of kit, all having same problem, I have given up trying, and changed vpn, my speed is now 140 to 150 Mbps , but does slow at peak periods bur still very fast.across my individual mobile laptop, tablet and game box. I liked NordVPN, but whatever the reason is, your vpn does not work for me.
Trust me, NordVPN is very unfriendly to Chinese users. On the other hand, NordVPN can't open lots of Chinese websites. Well, are you discriminate Chinese people? You said NordVPN can't affect Chinese policy. What a beautiful platitude.
