Prima prijs kwaliteits verhouding, en alleen al de gedachte dat als je in het buitenland op een openbaar WiFi punt bent veilig kunt surfen. Ga zo door!!

Blij met mijn keuze voor Goose VPN, echter waar downloaden snel gaat, is surfen bijna onmogelijk als de VPN client actief is. Dat is dan wel weer erg jammer. Verder is het starten van een verbinding ook eenvoudig. Misschien kan ik niet surfen omdat ik alleen met p2p verbinding maak? Dat is mij dan weer niet bekend.

In 2015 I started using VPN after reading the horrific stories of gathered personal data which is used to create a profile of our lives. Many of the VPN servers are based in the US or Panama, to me that was not the best location so I started with the German provider ZenMate, I used it for about a year but it wasn’t satisfying. The speed let me down and I had many connection problems, some days it wouldn’t connect at all. After that I used the Canadian TunnelBear, quit after a month, not better than ZenMate. In the meantime I tested a few others a few days and wanted to give it up as I was not satisfied with any of them. And then I found Goose, based in the Netherlands. At first I was sceptic due to my bad experiences but Goose gave me a smile again, it just worked, that is what I was searching for. The speed surely is less as without VPN but far far better than all the other providers. I used it for a year now and it proved to be very stable. Sometimes a specific IP is slow, just switch to another and it is solved. This trick was of no use with the other VPN providers. Thumps up for Goose!

Downloadsnelheid valt erg tegen, terwijl het downloaden een van de belangrijkste redenen is dat ik VPN heb aangeschaft. Daarnaast zou ik graag ook gebruik willen maken van servers in andere landen, zonder dat dit direct invloed heeft op de websites die ik bezoek. Met andere woorden als ik een Duitse server selecteer wil ik bij internetten geen Duitse websites krijgen.

In Dutch: De snelheid was dramatisch laag als ik Goose VPN had ingeschakeld (zónder had ik 150 Mb/s en mét 27 Mb/s). De helpdesk wilde mij wel helpen, maar dat duurde wel wat lang. Er was helaas geen chatcessie.
