in this day and age, a VPN is mandatory on non-password protected wifi networks - finding one you trust that works when you need it without hassle is a struggle - well - you can look no further than Encrypt.me - I have been with them since before the name change which was seamless - at least on apple products - have not tested on PC's - the apps work together without a hitch - setting it to auto-protect when you connect to a non password-protected network allows you to rest in comfort until the connection is made knowing that it cannot be sniffed or all the nefarious issues that can occur on those networks - you can use it all the time if you wish - I choose to only have it connect automagically on unprotected networks which is where its most needed - securing your connection - account maintenance - preferences - various networks & support are all managed easily and when and/or if you need support they are very responsive - the two reasons I gave 4 stars are 1) the price and 2) the number of local transporter locations - IE most other VPN's I have tried had servers all over the country here in the USA - this one lists northamerica being canada, US and Mexico - so - its not clear if there are more servers than countries but I have never had an issue with connection speed in any of those coutries and so cannot really fault the software for not listing individual servers - but - I ended up paying the price I do for unlimited data even tho I dont always use alot - it is more than most but for the job this company does - since ive been with them for a while now - its worth it - I guess - I have tried others since I started with this company and always end up leaving and or deleting the others for various reasons so - take that for what its worth - be careful who you choose and once you are with someone you like - you too will stay!

I really like the program most of the time. It runs very transparently. The times that it gives me trouble is when logging on to new networks especially in hotels where there is a login window. Somehow Encrypt.me and those processes don't play well together and I end up with a spinning gear and it won't connect. I usually have to turn of Encrypt.me to get past that and then turn it back on.

Normally encrypt is excellent, especially when I use my computer on unsecured networks. Recently however I've had trouble getting it to work on my phone. All my settings seem fine and it tries to connect. It connects very briefly that cuts out.

Seems the more things change, The More They STAY THE SAME.!!! I think improving the customer Experience is a fallacy, as after using Cloak/Encrypt.me for a number of years the same problems continue to plague my customer Experience . Since maybe 2015, but 2016 for certain & ‘17, 18 & into 2019 E/me continued to randomly shut down on its own a various time, refuse to auto connect, as well as various other extremely frustrating & annoying behaviour that at any given times that leave me/my phone totally unprotected on local wifi networks shopping, walking around & at cafes & even at home! I have the latest TOL iPhone with current iOS security updates etc, my home internet is an excellent new high speed capacity excellent wifi connection! So these extremely disconcerting disconnects & failure to connect are bad enough on my home network, but continued out in public’s at any of the numerous free secured networks leaves me extremely vulnerable esp if I’m not aware or don’t notice the disconnect that leaves the phone exposed! This all by the way has happened thru 3 versions of TOL iPhones I’ve had, 6+, 8+ & now X Max XS. So all of that rules out my phones being the issue, my home Wifi network being the issue & likely even the usual 1/2 doz cafes I frequent over the past number of years that these issues have continued to not be addressed or permanently fixed! The only conclusion is that Cloak (when these problems 1st started) to the ? New & ?IMPROVED? Updated version of Encrypt.me Is the issue & you cant find the fix for it! So having said that I think 3 is being very generous likely considering the lack of a permanent fix for these issues a 2 1/2 would more reflect the actual ⭐️ Value! Since the numerous tech people that have contacted me over time spanning these issue, they’ve ALWAYS made it sound like it’s my fault & not C~E/Me & that’s really damn annoying to be quite honest! I’ve even found others with similar complaints as mine in reviews for C~E/Me, so it’s obviously not me it’s your inability to find the issue & FIX IT, so (2 1/2) 3 ⭐️ It Is! A Perplexed, Frustrated & Annoyed User That’s NOT THE PROBLEM! Regards.

Slows my speed down to almost dsl levels when activated. Impossible to make WIFI connection in either London or Paris. Had to remove the app from my IPhone before I could use WIFI. Would enjoy having referral nd of annual payment if at all possible. If someone Ftom your company could tell me how to maintain even a third of preconnection speed and how to use in major cities outside of U.S. I would b interested in hearing no about this. As of now I would not recommend this app to a friend or enemy.
