A great piece of on-line privacy kit! Recently renewed my yearly subscription without any hesitation. The app for windows is very well built and packed with several very functional features and options. Have never experienced any unexpected downtime since my initial subscription. Unlimited data transfers at decent speeds across servers spread across various continents. I also have noticed significant reduction in online tracking and targeted adverts. P2P networking also works well with several encryption enabled features. Live chat support is a great option of contacting support. Lovely bunch of guys & gals on the other side of chat! The reason for dropping a star in rating is the difficulty in detecting Plex servers on your local network. Tried several online suggested solutions however never managed to get it working. I eventually had to purchase another VPN solution specifically for my Android TV device to work around this. Overall, I will happily recommend this to friends and family. Good luck! Aneesh

CyberGhost VPN does exactly what it says - it offers a secure VPN service that hides your identity from the prying eyes of the Internet. I have used the free version for a while, and then signed up to the subscription version after satisfying myself that it does work. The subscription gives you instant, always on access to the VPN (the free version allows up to 2 hours at a time and you have to wait in a queue for access). So far I have no complaints other than that the service does slow down access a bit. They advertise fast servers, but my experience is a definite slow down, hence 4 rather than 5 stars. UPDATE: Thanks to CyberGhost for the response. The downgraded speed is with the paid-for version. I use the BT Wholesale Speedtest site (as I'm on BT Broadband) and readings for just now were 15.65 mbsp for VPN on, and 19.22 mbps with VPN switched off.
extremely reliable
I am fairly new to VPN services and was amazed by the number of VPN services out there. After many reviews of many VON providers, I decided to sign up for CyberGohst. Why? Two big reasons: 1. I was swayed by their free trial offer- the bulk of other VPN services do not offer a free trial period. I downloaded the CG free trial and “took it out for a test drive.” After a few sessions ( and help from the website) I was pretty confident that I could understand and work the service. 2. Price- after looking at the pricing structure of other VPN providers, I found out that CG offered the most bang for the buck. I took the plunge for their 3-year/ $99 offer- best deal out there! For a relative “newbie” like me, CG is the best deal out there! PS- I’ve used their support line twice now- OUTSTANDING support!!!
Cyberghost is a wonderful design however it does not work brilliantly with Netflix as it poses a summary for issues when trying to connect. HOWEVER, cyberghost promises a myriad of other services which includes network privacy that is extremely impotant in the society we live in. Although I do not recommend it for Netflix but it is still a premium network that handles your concerns and customer service infallibly. Thank you Cyberghost.
